If they made a Kroot Master Shaper, they could be an army, for the Master Shapers would definetly be HQ. You could use the Master Shaper, some Kroot Carnivores, a few Shapers & Hounds, a couple of Krotox, and a few Knarlocs.
Yes Yes Yes! Kroot and Tau should stand as ONE, but now instead gw has made it that Tau are more important and kroot are only some secondary mercenaries. Kroot and Tau are awesome and deserve equal status in an army darnit!

Yeah. They would be cool and their primitive tendencies do cause certain problems. They're not too bad though. Remember they're ships have warp drives - something the Tau don't even have yet! I'd say use phycic powers as an excuse for uber powerful kroot units such as master shapers (HQ) and genetic evolution for making something like a kroot greater knarloc unit as strong as a carnifex. (heavy support)
I see nothing wrong with this, and they retain their primitive funness!
Kroot give the tau a nice balance between the long range fire power to close range giving tau a diverse way of dealing with various enemies it also helps when you need some close range to stall the enemy to finish them with range
The Music is cool and i know what you mean with the song u mentioned earlier, i couldnt really see a kroot jumping into a squad of Imperial Guardsmen going, DIE MOTHER FUCKER DIE!

I know Kroot race from Dawn of War only (and from articles in Wikipedia), but instead, I really love them :).
They create a nice contrast between their wild nature and high-technology Tau warfare.
