I Finally saw a Lotus Elise on the road today!

After a long time wishing. (I have a Corvette)

We were at opposite stoplights. He was first in line, so he kind of punched it.

I saw it drive past me, and heard that engine red line.

I kind of had high expectations of the sound - it sounded like an Asian tuner, which is bad, if you ask me.

As for seeing the body in person, it looks pretty cool - but not in line with exotic Italians.

Good looking gal, but @ 2:45 her dry heaving scream is quite the turn off.

As for the car, I love the elise. Offers great bang for the buck. Super light weight, it doesn't need a big engine to pack a punch, plus you get incredible gas mileage in this thing. It really is a performance car for the thrifty consumer.

Don't know what the statistics say, but they should be fairly reliable.

Hand build in england isn't a good sign but Toyota engines (and gearboxes?) should be reliable and light weight also means less wear on components.

Surely cheaper to run then other cars with the same performance.

Toyota engines. Very little in terms of extras and electronics means they will probably be ok in reliability. However, it is mid-engined, so repair access will suffer.
