It is indeed a contra bass. That is the square shaped one (Paetzold), basically coiled over like the contrabassoon to be smaller overall. I play one of these in our recorder orchestra. The one in front is the proper contra.
Man..... I would love to join one of these...haha im like the only one in my entire college who plays the recorder...and nobody understands the beauty of the instrument!!!...but these people....its just not fair... :(
you are right, the recorder is the easiest thing to play, and fingers the same way as a flute, so there a lot of people who have the CAPABILITY of playing recorders, and not just flute players. i kinda wanna be in one, mabe i can talk my teacher into somthing.
Considering how inexpensive a high-quality plastic recorder is in respect to other instruments of the orchestra, I am surprised that the recorder orchestra is not more common--every town deserves one.
Well, I meant that I'm 'surprised' that the instrument isn't better encouraged also. It's the kind of thing that public school could produce if the recorder was taught more seriously. Unfortunately most people never get beyond the frustration and irritation of _Mary Had A Little Lamb_ on cheap soprano in all its shrill migraine-d glory.
I LOVE IT

因為你們加了倍低音跟大低音直笛 所以第4 部部怎們清楚 所以請訓練第4 部還有56部 第一部再吹修飾音時有點難聽 還會爆音 曲風部錯 希望再接再厲

yes but one thing you're forgetting is that it's hard to find that many good recorder players. (I know from personal experience)
