Considering the go kart scene has been shown in all the trailers and now in this clip, there's no way in hell it's going to kill her - they wouldn't show it to this extent if it was going to do that.

Hoffman will most likely stop it at the last second, to savour the fear he is instilling in to her. Showing it in all the trailers is a common advertising trick - i'm just surprised so many people buy in to it

@Quillllll I still like the theory that he will stop the cart right before it hits her, and lock her up in the cell (as seen in tv spots and promotional pictures). This would make sense along with his line "I can only do it once", so he would prolong her suffering by locking her up and torturing her slowly.
