  • I love the segue between the two pieces... I never saw these two as going together much. All of the power in the instruments is Very Nice to hear, though, indeed!! Thanks for posting!!

  • great live rendition of 'please don't touch'

  • One of my favourite parts of the whole Lamb suite this. I agree with the other poster who commented about Steve's lead over that Tony Banks chord progression. Utterly majestic.

  • And i'm hovering like a fly, waiting for the windshield on the freeway..

  • one of the difficult songs to play

  • Hes so modest

  • the drummer is lame...

  • @hochi81 The drummer is lame? You have no clue.

  • @hochi81 jerk

  • Great video - thanks for posting - went to see Steve at Sheffield 1978 - was only 10!

    went with my brother..

  • @dskinz

Great. and what did you feel for this music allready with only 10 years?

  • Such a big sound, gives me goose bumps, just like the original version from the Lamb Lies Down On Broadway album and his solo album Please Don't Touch. So much of today's music is so mediocre...Then there is Steve Hackett. Once these guys are gone sadly this genre of music may disappear.

  • Un pur moment de magie !!!

  • tony banks and steve hackett were a perfect combination it's a pity there was such an ego clash, just listen too those chords Tony Banks is a chords machine theres about a 8 or 9 different chords used under steves guitar solo there and its a great combination. Still we have steves amazing solo albums and concerts which give a perfect genesis fill, i saw him on sunday and it was brilliant

  • magic guitar-man .... GREAT STEVE!!!

  • He is a Master at Creating Atmospheres--there is no other like him on the planet.

  • absolutely amazing, my favourite songwriter and my favourite guitar player. Saw him in Lisbon playing with Amalia Rodrigues guitarists and that was Art at it's best.

  • On the lead bits, is he mostly just picking with one fingernail from time to time and other than that using his right hand to mute?

  • Prog Is So Awesome!

  • Just brilliant. From the Dark Masterpiece that is the Lamb.

  • Je l' ai vu samedi 07/11 a l'alhambra a paris. Super concert, une simplicité d' etre remarquable et une technique musicale a faire palir les plus grands guitaristes de ce monde ! Florian, genesis for ever !

  • The greatest guitarist people have never heard of. My hero, plain and simple.

  • Heaven...

  • isnt please dont touch copied for the band GTR?

  • "Please don't touch" was a song written for the Genesis Wind and Wuthering record in 1977, the song wasn't used on that record, it became the name of Steve Hacketts 2cnd solo record, years before GTR. was formed.

  • hackett to bits is the medley that appears in GTR, and it includes please don't touch as one of the songs

  • Yes, part of it is called "Hackett to Pieces" (I think)

  • @volendos234 Steve Hackett (and Steve Howe) created GTR =]

  • I own the DVD, but it is nice to see some songs uploaded from this wonderful concert...

  • Thank you again. Have watched Steve live many times and your recordngs show his genius. He makes me happy that I am alive. Am I the only person who has noticed that this is on UTube? Plus, are there no other women that appreciate this? Don't understand (he's so cute too!!!).

  • No, you're not the only one...

    Great music. Sadly underrated.

  • @JRBwithME I'm a woman, and have been to see him five times, always a stunning gig!

  • @Arishikina ....I wish there were more women with as great of a musical taste as yours!!
