  • Vampire Hunter D was one of the 1st animes that got me into anime. He will truly be missed, but his work will live on.

  • Saraba, Toyoo Ashida (1944-2011) :(. The director of The FIst of the North Star Movie, TV series and Vampire Hunter D. I'm glad I just watched the series and read the manga of Fist of the North Star last year. You will be dearly missed, but your great work will live forever in our memories.

  • May he rest in peace

  • Oh, man, another old school anime legend has passed away. Rest in peace.

  • May he RIP.

  • i really donno about the op man, it did hurt my ear but if it does to you then i'd change it, its a real shame the he passed away man, he'll be miss but at least his work will live on.

  • damn that sucks rest in piece may he find peace in the afterlife.

  • Hardhit indeed. My two favorite anime of all time... T_T

  • weird, I already saw your fist of the north start live action review, you mean that review or theres actually a movie of it.

  • @Zylph89 Yes, that was the live action movie I reviewed, but next week, I'm reviewing the anime movie, the one he directed.

  • Damn that sucks. I may not be a huge fan of Vampire Hunter D. But I can't deny that it is sad for someone in the anime industry to die.

  • @GeekCritic89 I know you don't like VHD but thanks for showing your respect to Toyoo Ashida.

  • Via con dios, Toyoo Ashida. May the angels of the radiant light take you to the great beyond. *bows*

  • @doomertheultimate That's beautiful, man.

  • @whoisyouranime Thanks. I been writing for a long time. : )

  • Wow, that's really sad. I love "Fist of the North Star:The Movie", deffinentely one of my favorite Cult movies. I would want to thank him for it.

  • @sfighter991 Same here.

  • God bless Ashida for directing both Fist of the North Star & Vampire Hunter D, if not for him I don't think both of those would have ever been successful. RIP sir, you will be missed...

  • @Skullgrin140 Yes, without him, Fist of the North Star and Vampire Hunter wouldn't be the classics that they are. He will surely be missed.

  • He's gone to join the greats like Tezuka and Satoshi Kon, he's in a better place

  • @IloveOtherPplsMsry Yes, he is truly one of the greats and thank you for your comment.

  • Damn, this sucks. The creator of one of most, if not THE most manliest series of all time...passed away. I'm definitely gonna miss this man.

  • @EnvyMizuhashi Well, actually, he was the director, not the creator of Fist of the North Star. But I have to admit, he was the best director for the Fist of the North Star franchise. Compared to the new versions, his Fist of the North Star was the best, hands down.

  • Hard video to respond to. Kudo's to you, for paying your respect, to a man whoms work you clearly admired, and loved. And thank you for introducing me, to theese great shows, and movies. Have a nice day.

  • @Inzolity Thank you.
