hay bro, did u get the baja tuned from a pro cos ive got the same mods but cant seem to get low end speed or power, high speed is good and when idle, if i lift the back tyers off the grownd it starts to rev more and the tires spin.
You seem to have played with different gear ratio's , so you think with this setup i could go for bigger gears, and still retain some low end torque ?
Ya im thining on going to a 18 or 19 tooth pinion but im not sure if ill see a difference with just one tooth so im thinking i want to go to 19. but then i want to get the turtle racing clutch system cause its alot heavy dudy and im sick of breaking my pinion bolt, but they only go up to 18 teath so im stuck between two things i want
i would go with the radical 20-54 gears (if not you will always wonder how fast she can really go) and dont go too tight with the pinion bolt. ive never broken a pinion bolt. i did break a clutch bell once thou : )
most people tighten it way to tight and then it has all that preasure on the bolt head and then hit something it just breaks... so snug it down and drive it like a mad man and see... my buddy broke a few and i told him this and now he never has that problem. hope this helps!!
my engine is built for lo end torge so it builds speed fast but has low top end. thats why i use high speed gears to get top end. now your is built for top and low end so it will go faster on topend but be a little slower on the take off with the high gears.
and also friend has a 29cc and he runs stock gears and can almost keep up with mine even though i have radical gears.
did you find a huge difference with changing the gears? I have a 29cc stroker and ive been thinking on changing the gears to get more speed but i dont know what to go to yet. Have you tried any other gears?
yea lot more top end and with your 29cc you will have more than mine believe it or not. also they should have the 2 speed out soon they are finished with the gears and working on the new cover for the gears.... about 200.00 is going to be the going price i think...
theyre a piece of piss to start, if youve ever started a brushcutter its exactly the same, plugs are easy to replace, the buggy will come with a plug spanner. as far as comparing them to a nitro theyre a completely different beast. a lot easier to start and tune and a lot stronger
Hey man, did you ever had any problems with your baja starting it up? is it hard to replace the spark plugs, engines, electronics, etc...? Maintenance wise, how do you compare this than nitro? Thanks! i just actually bought one but not here yet its baja 5b rtr original version!
ive built and rebuilt with little. with the stock engine i never had any problems starting it but once you start changing engines and carbs you can run into some issues if you dont do them right. but really ive never had any problems with these they just keep going. plus you can run 30-45 min on a tank of fuel....have fun with your new toy and watch out for the bugggg ive put thousands into mine!!
about 56 that ive clocked but im sure i got 60+ at a buddys landing strip. not bad on the clutchs, broke a clutch bell last fall. but no other problems. i run the clutch backward so it dont slip much. im running a 30.5cc esp race ported and polished engine with a GBE End bleed, so pretty good low end torque even with the high gears... good luck
Is this in Douglasville?

@41612patria in this video i think they was stock with rubber tubing instead of the spring on break rod. i use the Turtle racing carbon fiber now.

hi i just got my hpi baja 5b 23cc can you tell me how im gonna mix the oil and the gas?
dotbadburn 2 years ago
the fuel to oil ratio is 32:1 which mean that you mix 4 ounces of 2-stroke oil to 1 gallon of liquid petrol(gasoline)
MajorCrissMoga13 2 years ago
can ne 1 tell me if it wud be a noticable amount of diference iff i got the high response clutch n shoe spring for my baja ?

how do you figure that i'll have more top end when you have a 31cc?

high cc dont = speed
