I've been told to set up the sterile field before exposing the perineum (omg the medical euphemism for crtoch!) to avoid humiliating the client. But wouldn't opening the sterile field then touching the client then going back to the sterile field contaminate the sterile field?
if she just put the sterile glove packaging off to the side, then on top of the sterile field that field is contaminated...should leave gloves on table side and apply there, never turning back on sterile field.
