Kids don't understand the meaning to the song, they just see it as jumping around in a circle. Same thing with Jack and Jill I don't understand what part if any has to do with sex but some pissed off lobbyist group thinks a bunch of 3-5 yr old kids are going to decipher meanings in these songs.
Let's all skip in a circle and sing a song about the Black Plague! YAY! This comment is not a negative remark about the clip itself... i just find it amazing that children were taught that song at all!
I miss the days when adults were nicer to children, i loved the host of Romper Room because she was always so cheerful and happy. Teachers back in the 80's were the same way as well i miss these days.
My mom was in the version of Romper Room that aired in St. John's, NL on CJON-TV Channel 6, but I can't find footage for the life of me. Neither can I for when my Uncle Craig did this in the version aired in Grand Falls (now Grand Falls-Windsor), NL.
That would be Miss Fran who was hosting by then. Wonder when she took over from Miss Betty, who remained with CKCO right up until her death from breast cancer in 1994.
All crap, I guess that means Romper Room will be pre-empted tomorrow.

Fran Pappert is definitely no longer a looker...she converted to Islam, wears a hijab, and would blend in nicely on the streets of Mogadishu

I used to love this show! Especially DoBee and Paddington Bear. I watched it all the time when it was on.

It was Miss Fran (Pappert) for as long as I could remember watching the show, from the late 70s.

@DarthSchwartz I never hated it, but always felt I was too old for it, even when I was right in the proper age range. :p It just bored me.
