  • wait... let me get my banjo son yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeehaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!

  • hmmm, i my language there called "mungiga" or "mouth harp" i´ts been around since the dark ages :P

  • @gronko86 it's actually been around since before then, they've been found in Asia from around the 4th century BCE

  • I once heard someone broke their tooth by playing it incorrectly; is that possible? I think the person told me it was because they played it incorrectly, not having certain parts on the fleshy part but instead right on the teeth.

  • I think the name Jews Harp is a bastadization of Jaw Harp. I've just got myself a Dan Moi Jaw Harp, Vietnamese, and it plays a treat. It's louder than the conventional Jaw Harp and there's no need to grip it in your teeth, so it isn't painful to play at all.

  • No; it was originally Jew's Harp. Jaw's harp is because the PC crew dived in and deemed it offensive to Kikes.

  • sounds sort of like a talkbox!

  • Where can i Buy one??? Respond me please

  • music instruments shops

  • @StickMan004 you can get a "snoopy jaw harp" for under 5 dollars on Amazon. [don't worry, they're new] :D

  • marranzano al secolo fù.....

  • weird its called a jews harp yet it has no relation to the Jewish religion and its not a harp! lol

  • where did it originated? =/?

  • i think china but i could be wrong

  • I think in Australia/Oceania

  • how do you get it to do that twang? I have no clue how to do it.

  • How do you get the background noise behind the twanging?

  • you blow air through the harp as you play.

  • tatayudah ur nothing but a racist i bet ur parents dont love you, probably adopted.

  • this is ALTAY instrument. Russian republic

  • sounds pretty racist to me. its been called both names, for a while (upwards of 3 years), as well as juice harp and mouth harp.

im certain they consciously 'stole' the name tho...

  • Just because you claim not to be a racist doesn't make it so.

I can assure you that you are in fact a racist.

  • well, yea

everyone is a little bit raceist

  • ok........

origionaly the instrument was called the "jew harp" but spelled jeaue so it has no relation to the jewish religion. it is also called the jaw harp, the mouth harp or the juice harp, all of wich are misinterpritations of JEW HARP.....dumbass

  • its a jew harp, but nowadays they think jew harp is too politically incorrect,so they call it a jaw harp

  • I have heard thay its called a jew harp. I don't know why.

  • Stupid political correctness. I'm Jew and have no problem with having an instrument called "Jew Harp".

It's as stupid as banning Christmas trees in offices because it bothers non Christians.

Why would a Christmas tree bother me?

If a christmas tree bothers you, you deserver to be face slapped.

  • lol christmas trees aren't even really from christianity, I think its just a german practice that got associated with christianity because it was done around that period of time (the holiday season). There is nothing even inherently christian about the christmas tree, just as there is nothing inherently jewish about the jewish harp. Its just the common english name; no ONE person decides what something is called, its just a culture thing and is studied in etymology.

  • :D you're right, but it's called JEW's harp... But it comes from juice harp, as I know.

  • Best song ever with a Jew's Harp is the song Join Together by The Who.

  • It's called jew harp, but many ethnic groups play this instrument, from Siberia to South America.

  • mehehehehe. boing

  • where do u find one? i cant find one anywhere

  • BOING BOING BO BOING BOING BOING BOING

  • I'm Jewish. I call it a Jew harp. Lighten up.

Anyway, you sound pretty damn good man.

  • you're really good :-D God bless

  • This instrument is used in give it away..

  • it's been called the Jew's harp since the 1500s, idiots

  • It's a Mapuche musical instrument. it's name is trompe. The mapuche people lives in Chile. Marrichiweu!!

  • pretty smooth rythm in the clip, I noticed how you strum the band the opposite of the usual, very cool. These lame comments on eachothers' comments are nothing but a waste of space! GET A LIFE AND A SENSE OF HUMOR WHILE YOU'RE AT IT...

  • nice vioce

  • That's one cool little thing..Really cool..

  • If you sensitive little PC-darlings would have your way and the word jew was banished from about 80% of its common use, the jewish people would be deprived of any pride that they have left.

    Just lighten up, ok?

  • yes, "jew's harp" is one of the many names of this instrument. It doesn't have any connection with judaism, but even if it did, so what?

So what exactly is racist about that? I'd like people to tell me. If a more common name for the menorah was necessary, people would probably call it "jew's candelabra". Are you people going to jump up and down too because all of a sudden it's racist? IT'S A WORD.

  • I like your vid clip and I've rated it as awesome. Please check out my video clip of some very rare 1934 tobacco cards of old and ethnic musical instruments.

  • omg the jawharp has like a 100 different names. trust me look it up. jaw and jew are main.

  • WASrul, I love your totally random comment...

  • For the love of god! It's both a "Jew's Harp" and a "Jaw's Harp"

  • looks like a kyke harp to me

  • nazi bastard

  • fuck u u fuckung racist wat is wrong with u should be shot in the face u dick

  • no dumbass

go to wikipedia and type jews harp

    its not jaw harp dumbass

  • yes, because wikipedia is always right...

    WIKIALITY

  • "Bloody Jews and their harps!!!" It's a jaws' harp, not Jews', do you know ;)

  • Hi, I like that clip and I've rated you as awesome. I've created a video clip of me playing a jaws harp. Please click on my id link above. I've created some strange sound effects by strumming mine like a banjo.

  • Bloody Jews and their harps!!!

    Seriously though, nice one. =)

  • Actually its called a Jaws Harp, because you play it with your jaw.

  • nope, its called a jew'd harp

  • opps, spelt it wrong

its a jew's harp, jaw harp or mouth harp

and on the odd occasion jew's trump or juice harp

  • "Jaw's Harp" is a later alteration from "Jew's Harp"; presumably as a euphamism after "Jew" became percieved as offensive. Originally in English it was called the Trump.

  • that was the shittiest shit i have ever heard, it was like hearing buggs bunny 1949

  • Always loved the music of the Jews harp. I do, and always will enjoy the instruments of sound and the people that produce them. I like all musical sounds.

    Ever heard an orchestra?

We are writing a symphony that has a bloody end!

  • This guy is from japan i know him nothing to do with Judaism

  • jUICE HARP PEOPLE NO JEW HARP. Yes good

  • Uh, that would be Juice Harp. eh, I looked it up, both are right. Still it has no connection w/judaism.

  • i want one!!!!! i fucking want one!!!!

  • Did you know you can make different tones just using your breath and tongue?

  • Very cool!

  • Awesome.

  • That's pretty neat! I've never actually seen someone play a jews harp before.
