ive had crohns for apx 7 years and take no meds.. just go through the pain when i cant have smoke.. it sux but i just take one day at a time..

did you ever get surgery? thankfully i havent had anything besides the pre-diagnosed colonoscopy.. good to see so many crohns patients on youtube sharing their experience.. when i first got it i thought i would be bedridden for life.. even got fired for being too sick to work at the time.. people really dont understand.. they think u just being a little bitch with a stomach ache.. which is really annoying while sick for someone to downplay how ill yo are REALLY feeling..

after being diagnosed with crohns i took the meds for about a week (i dont remember names but they had steroids) then stopped. when i cant smoke its painful. every person with crohns should get medicinal marijuana.. it really is the only help for me.. i got dreadlocks so you kno people would look at me like i just wanna smoke weed but it is the only thing that works. there needs to be awareness to people without crohns about how much budd really helps us.. sick and sick of being judged.

Get better dude. I definitely know how you feel with the constant in and out of the hospitals. I'm 17 and have had chrohn's since i was 7, and now have colitis. Just keep ya head up! (;

so heres my problem my chronze disease diet and because I now have a ilistomy is IN COMPLETE REVERSE FROM WHAT A DIBETIC diet is sosposed to be,,my dietician is no help,,so which way do I go follow a diet for my ostomy which was caused by chronse,,,OR do do I follow a diet for my dibitis,,in either case if I follow a diet for my ostomy,I will get into trouble with dibetis,,If I follow a diet for my dibitis I will get into trouble with my ostomy which way do I go does it matter

my chronze started when I was a small child but back in the late 1960s and early 70s they didnt know much about chronze, I always had a mess of direruh mom had to bring me a change of clothes almost every week or 2 from grade school to high school,,in 1982 I was so sick from chronze that I weighed 86 pounds,massive surgery in 1990,all that is left is only part of the small instine,,,,I have an ilistomy now,in 2009 I was also told I had dibitis,which complactes EVERYTHING,

I feel for u.. i just went through a colonscopy yesterday and turns out I got crohns :( is there any suggestions or tips you have...i feel like my specialist doesnt give a crap and doesnt have time to listen to my problem. shes always seems like she is in a rush. so Ive decided to just talk to people who have the same problem as me for support

@ccoutfitterskc My pediatric GI doc had Crohn's...it really didn't make that much of a difference. He was more understanding, but not any more help than the others.

The start of crohns is the worst part, once it gets treated, you can just live your life normal. Well thats what i've been doing for 4 years :D hope everythings ok though! Peace.

If you're 18+ you should look into being able to get medicinal marijuana, depending on your state laws. No surgery, no chemicals, no nausea. Marijuana has long been known to be a powerful anti-inflammatory, and it works!
