  • I blame the writers for this sketch. It's like they couldn't come up with something better than the munchkins ostracizing Dorothy. This is one poorly written sketch.

  • SARAH JESSICA FREAKING PARKER!!!! :0 and DAVID SPADE!

  • SARAH JESSICA FREAKING PARKER!!!! :0

  • At least Miley Virus and Justin beaver aren't in this train wreck!

  • @OurGangFan yeah and there's a reasion why they are not inv0olvwed with this train wrechk. this aired way before anyone wever heard of them. i'm guessing early 90's.

  • Love the Wizard of Oz!

  • see the mic at the top right conner at the end!

  • "I'm starting to get really pissed off" haha

  • @neathvalerie The only funny part of the sketch! Although Janeane Garofalo getting out of character was sort of funny.

  • What season was this

  • Was tat mike myers?? I love some of his movies!!

  • Typical... 3 very funny Oz parodies from MadTV and one epic fail from SNL!

  • Mike Myers was the best part

  • FAIL!!!

  • 3:58 thumbs up if you saw the microphone!

  • garofalo ruined it. i was laughing at first, then it just got ruined when she was the one talking the most.

  • love it wen it said "o come out muchikens im getting really pissed off now

  • "I'm Dorothy Guile from Kansas"

  • the costuming is good

  • Who noticed that Adam Sandler is one of the munchkins who sing The Lollipop Guild?(:

  • I could never understand how Sara JP could sing great when she was the 3rd Annie on Broadway ( After Andrea McArdle & Shelly Bruce ), and not be able to sing as an adult.

  • We represent th Lollipop guild the lollipop guild the lollipop guild we represent th lollipop guild get th he'll outta here

I'm turnin that 2 my theme song

  • Garofalo is a humour dead zone here, any jollity around is absorbed by her vinegary countenance and turned to dust. Nightmare

  • no dude 1:11 is amazing. chris farley is outstanding no matter what.

  • When I first saw this sketch, I loved it. But yeah, I see Garafalo's detached, flat approach is ruining it.

  • anything garofalo is in is a train wreck

  • 2:48 is the best part.

  • the only funny lines in this sketch were

"look you can keep singing but were not coming out!" -David Spade

"someone better come out now, because i'm getting really pissed off!" -Sarah Jessica Parker

  • get the hell outta here lol

  • yeah this sketch ended horribly. that season should have been one of the best with the amount of talent among the cast members. but unfortunately the sum of the parts resulted in a quite a poor output.

  • All other comments I could make aside, let me take the time to say that Ellen Cleghorn was possibly the worst, most talentless load that ever worked for Lorne Michaels.

  • This was the last full episode of SNL I watched. It was so terrible, it put me off the show for good.

  • I didn't find this one very funny :|

  • That was funny as. Definitely not a train wreck sketch from one of the worst episodes

  • This skit is hilarious as hell ! at 1:10 when Farley sticks his out out and sez 'No, go away" OMG LOL....

  • Terrible. Where is the Megan Mullally SNL Wizard of Oz skit..?

  • Is the good witch Sarah Jessica Parker??

  • i still thought this was pretty funny! lol!

  • I just realized SNL David Spade reminds me a little of Seth Meyers.

  • I'm no Garofalo fan, but this sketch wasn't all that bad actually. I'd say it was funnier than 99% of the sketches from the past few years.

  • Garofalo is in tears by the end of this because the actors playing the munchkins yelling at her actually hated her...horrible time for her.

  • @samweisberg Aw, really??? :( That's horrible. :(

  • Jeaneane was really hot in this clip!! But still, it sucked.... : (

  • HIT THE ROAD!!!!! lmao xD

  • Why would they put a horse in a pink dress, its just cruel

  • Wow I only Laughed at spade, and myers, and i hate both of them.

  • Wow. This is exactly what happens when you throw things against a wall hoping it sticks.

  • obviously the writers fault right? i dunno how you would make this good

  • This sketch was probably funny if you were at the end of an all-day drunk fest. C'mon, you gotta admit Chris Farley looked funny.

  • Amazing that with that cast, they couldn't make something funnier. Agreed, it definitely had potential.

  • wow that was just terrible

  • "And in the name of the Lollipop Guuuuiiiilld!!! Get the hell outta here!!"

  • They could have really made something out of this sketch, the ungrateful Munchkins, the pissed off Glenda and a sarcastic Dorothy, but that season was one of the worst. And why? NO TEAM PLAYERS!

  • @quesondriac You're right. There was no sense of "ensemble". Individually, they were great.

  • @2comedyfan2 The Lollipop guild song really shows that. Totally off sync.

  • I don't think the writing is very funny either, but I think Janeane is really good in it... Almost didn't recognized her in the beginning with that weird voice! :)

  • The Wizard of Oz Canadian version (sponsored by McKenzie Paper Towels) from 1980 was better. This one was amazingly laugh-free. If you're gonna write a sketch about how mean the munckins are, at least put in some jokes.

  • sloppy sketch but there's been worse
