Damn, homie, you and me would have our own kingdoms in Ivalice(walk buttnaked into the Viera village, hell yeah I would). I was kinda let down by the Wyrmhero Blade, since everything is pretty much done by the time I got, but yeah, other than being slow, it is a beast with the auto-Brave/Faith. I guess spoke too soon about being Ivalice's premier treasure hunter.

The way to beat zodiark is to go in guns blazing so to speak and finish him off before he can even cast darkja, it can be done easily if you have the right weapons and tactics.

@archertrio That's how I did it. Haste/Berserk/Lure. Now Omega Weapon...he's a little tougher, in my opinion. He has a laser attack that hits for 3000-4500 and uses it, no joke, every two seconds. It can be managed with good Lure usage, but often, you just don't have time to heal. Speaking of farming shit, did you ever get the Danjuro? It's the game's overall best weapon. Tournesol does the most dam. and the Masamune can string high combos, but the Danjuro raises your Evade the heighest.

@raventamer99 I don't mean to brag, but yes I have many danjuros (I am what you call a 'try hard' in the modern sense) and I have a perfect run playthrough which contains all weapons in multiple quantities. I am not a big fan of it mainly because I only got it to complete my perfect file, but I do remember using Main Gauche A LOT on my 122333 file. You are also right about Masamune, if you have Genji Gloves with that weapon it OWNS, same goes for Wyrmhero Blade.

Everyone always attributes this song to the fight with Zodiark, but I remember it best from fighting Mateus, the ice/water esper. Ice has always been my favorite element of any RPG, and Mateus just looks so hardcore when she/it does her/its limit break. I thought Zodiark looked stupid as hell to be so powerful, until I saw his ''Final Eclipse'', then it shifted to something along the lines of...

''Well, that was a whole new definition of badass!''

@HighDarkDragon Yeah, this was the most annoying part of the whole battle against Zodiark, since Zodiark can cast a hidden Deathja (as I call it) instead of a Darkja. So even with Black Masks, they're basically useless sometimes.

@VednVadam Yeah, I remember. Getting to Zodiark was kind of a pain in the ass, wasn't it? All the flans, reapers and other bastard-spawns, draining your magic left and right, and of course, the ways to get rid of your buffs. That was the only part of the game I remember being more frustrating than fun.

Zodiark made me rage quit after i raised my party level from 57 to 72, fought everyone in the mines and lost a shitload of pheonix downs, no savepoints, no mp, and no warning signs. At 2 am. I walk into a room and i saw the cutscene. @MAJICB0B This exact thing happened to me too. But somehow I got all of my Quickenings off fast enough to do the ultimate attack and he dropped pretty fast when I landed that. My dream of new and better items came true when one of the zombies dropped a dagger. Fran used it until about the end of the game with no problems. :)

Had her casting haste and berserk on herself with it almost the entire game.

Before this, I never thought any ff battle music would ever top the boss music from ff7 (I didn't like the storyline, but I LOVED the boss music). But ff12's esper battle music is now by FAR the most epic score in a ff. The theme added even more suspense to the white-knuckle battles that ff12 espers already showed.

Honestly I don't think they could've made a better suspense inducing music for these kinds of fights, especially against the optionals and big baddies as mentioned like Zeromus and Zodiark, it's not only catchy but you don't tire of hearing it after struggling for long periods of time just to stay alive and hopefully avoid a cheap shot.

Yes casting break on yourself after you have summoned Zodiark is the only way to make him use Final Eclipse. It's because he has his gambit set as Summoner status = Petrified - Use Final Eclipse. You cannot change that either i believe.

@sitien14 He is useful to some extent. His ultimate attack does a guaranteed 50,000 points of damage to all enemies. And all you have to do to make him use it is cast petrify on yourself.
