@JSCWhistler Have you ever heard the original old-time version of Elzic's Farewell? It's certainly worth a listen, and very much different from the jazzed-up version popularized by Flook.
@misterdaviddude yes, we know the old time version, in fact, Qristina learnt it a few years back from our friend Erynn Marshall. But we really like this particular version.
@TheBachands Haha! My question was actually intended for my friend Joseph (JSCWhistler), but I don't mind a reply from you all! FYI, I was not trying to demote your playing at all, I was just curious if Joseph had got around to listening to the original, old-timey version of Elzic's Farewell.
Anyhow, awesome playing! Your style(s) and arrangement remind of Liz Carroll and John Doyle, and you couldn't ask for any better players to be compared with!
@misterdaviddude Yeah, I've heard many a recording of the original version... Personally, I still like this one though. Mimi Rogers (great fiddle player, plays lots of old time and French Canadian stuff too, for Qristina and Quinn, who wouldn't know her) plays it with that third part, though, so I don't know... Good tune either way, though!
And guys, I'll agree with David, phenomenal playing to both of you!
what are the names to all the tunes in this set. I like them all!
