How did they prep them to fight su 27/33 and mig 29s? I dont believe the u.s or any western power had a fighter to match those back then.

@clarkdoc I was not a Navy pilot. I produced the training videos for the squadron. My callsign was "Captain Video."

@clarkdoc No - I did see him on TV when he was CO of the Blue Angels. I wondered where he went after that - really - where do you go from there?
