  • it's like a csi flashback type thingy!

  • How did you color correct it? what software/plugin did you use?

  • We used a plugin called Magic Bullet. It works with Final Cut Pro.

  • professional job.

  • its great

  • Thanks. It was tough throwing something together last minute, but I think it turned out alright!

  • Well done, and fit very well in an even three minutes. I've been researching the HDR-FX1 and stumbling on this video may have just convinced me its the right camera to go for.

  • ur al suckin up 2 da bre

  • That song isn't from Takk... It's actually "Dögun", from their Von album. Just in case any viewers wondered :P

  • Oh yea? I couldn't remember, so I was tagging with what I could think of. Thanks!

  • Black Star Canyon is a fucked up place. Smart going in the daytime. You don't want to be there at night.

  • that's what i hear. even during the daytime we met some interesting people...

    jesse

  • My friend and I went down there at night and sat on top of my car looking at stars (so cheesey) and we heard this low moan.. then creepy dead silence. I got creeped out and wanted to leave and so we got in the car and it wouldn't start. All of the sudden, this lady comes up to the window and asked for a ride. We gave her a ride to the biker bar by the fork in the road. It's like.. a 25 minute drive in dead silence. She didn't move.

  • twisted. i believe it.

  • Yeah, oh my god, we were so scarred. And the people we ran into getting into the canyon was horrible. We had shotguns pulled on us trying to tell us it was Pirvate Property. We just yell "no it ain't! i have a cellphone with GPS." They back off.

  • You are right its not private property. Here are the facts. Bunch of myths about blackstar are just that. Its a public trail for hikers and bikers. Property owners in the area post trasspassing and private property signs to keep people out cause they think they own the canyon.I heard people tell me they have gone to the end on foot...bull. the canyon is over 10 miles long.

  • Yeah. Black Star AND the Ortegas creep me out. Ortega has the druids and shit. SO many people have gone missing out there. Silverado Cyn is really nice though. You get in and it's like Big Bear. Super cute homes and stuff.

  • Nice Job, Good Cinematography

  • Ok, this is hilarious. This is Casey from your Aesthetics class. I actually looked up "Chapelle Magic" because there was a skit where he gets a magic camera, and this showed up #5 on the list. Gotta love those mislables. By the way, this was sweet. Not sure if it beat our fairies though ;-) JK

  • Wow... that's too funny, Casey! Yep. Good ole mislables!

  • Great camera and editing, guys. Jesse, you're a master.

The sirens are kind of cheesey.

Nice moral. If you do something lighter with this much detail, I think you'll have a hit.

  • Hey I really enjoyed watching the film. I thought you guys did a great job! It would've been nice if you got a shot of the old "Charles Manson" house or even the abandoned house of Osterman, would've made for good material. It's great how it is though :]

  • Thanks, Sp0rkster. Yea, we had thought about that, but had 6 hours from script to shoot time to pull everything together. Keep checkin out my videos; they get better every time!

    Thanks again,

    jesse

  • Appreciate the kind words, Ed! Yep, writing a story at 1 AM and shooting the script with no storyboards 6 hours later doesn't always work TOO well! But we're proud of it nonetheless.

Check out REMain. It's a new one I finished last month. Longer, 8 minutes, with more of a story.
