This game looks like its gonna suck compared to the metroid prime series. I'm sorry, but it just looks TERRIBLE, the graphics have been downgraded, Samus runs inhumanly fast, and her movements look inhuman. Plus, the gameplay just looks bad, I think its a letdown.

@paulyou2 I completely agree. There is only one franchise that was able to make the transition to 3D feel natural and that was the Mario series. Others like Sonic and Mega Man for example all failed miserably.

There are some questionable things about Other M (no nunchuk, some of the cut scenes, game length) but all in all I think the game is well worth the name Metroid and feels very fresh. the cinematics look awesome and the controls are tight. Love the game, but it has some flaws. I think the next Metroid title will be beyond amazing (taken that they listen to the criticism of Other M and attempt another one).

Although I am a big fan of the Prime series I do think that Metroid needs another fresh reboot. That said I was never too fond of Ninja Gaiden and its by the same developer I believe... and you can easily see the similarities. Am being optimistic though. 31st August can't come sooner!

Considering this is basically a combination of what are in my opinion are the 2 hardest games of all time (metroid: the original, not anything after 2, and ninja gaiden, made by team ninja) I think this will be a pretty tough game, and i guess the controls are why, but only the PAL versions of metroid have had bad controls so maybe the people in the video just really suck at video games, but I;ve heard rumors of Gamecube and classic controller options, so who knows.
