  • Very nice shots. It is just a shame that distant video footage just doesn't show off the scale of the falls very well! Gotta visit them during these flood times to fully appreciate them!

  • Yeah April 2007 caused a lot of flood damage throughout the Northeast... there was also some recent high water on Cohoes Falls today when I checked it out - also posted a video of it.

  • You need to get a better video camera dude. Is that a cell phone? Crappy.

  • great video

  • Yes they are. I grew up in the Albany area, never hearing about them. I knew a girl from Cohoes when I was in school in Troy. She told me about them and said they were almost as big as Niagara Falls!! I figured she was a bit nuts as all I had ever seen was the troy dam. When I found them many years later, while not quite Niagara, but she was more than somewhat vindicated.

  • The Falls Are Very Nice. I Live 5 Mins Away

  • i know is unlawful now. But we used to hike down on the falls and fish in the pools above and below. GREAT FISHING! you have to wait when we have a long period of little rain so the rock is exposed and climbable. easy to access via waterford side. I'm looking for more caves in cohoes NY do you know of any?

  • i love when the falls are going good, i hear it every night when it does considering i live 2 miles away.

  • Nice! I am envious. All I get here (on a bad day) are planes going into Albany Airport! Grrr! Today the birds are chirping and the guy around the block has decided to lay off the concrete saw for a day. Peaceful..................
