@dadizzleisforizzle - I did hold it. I was the first person to bench 600+ in the MS Bench Press Championships back and broke James' record in 2004. I believe Art James broke my record and holds it now. I have since moved to Texas. I know James well and please tell him Byron Nichols said hello next time you see him. How is he doing?
You dont touch your chest on a single one of your bench presses. I'm sure you realize that that isn't a good lift. Try a comp. lift where yo have to hold the weight still on ur chest and i bet ur mx goes down 100lbs at least
hyperlite4089 - Yes I realize that not touching is not a good competiton bench. I benched 639 at 2007 USAPL Bench Press Nationals and 633 at 2008 IPF Bench Press Worlds. I have benched in the 650+ in training with a competition pause and just missed 691 for a new Masters World Record a few weeks ago. I would say I know what I am doing. Thank you for your feedback.
There are plenty posted on my site. Click the "titan500" and look. There is a 635, 650, 660, plenty 625 and my 691 attempt listed in My Favorites. How much do you bench by the way and why are you so concerned my bench?
You are arguing with Byron Nichols about benching??!?!?!!? Are you serious? The man has been on the US World Bench Press Team! Sit back and watch, you may learn a thing or two.
Live in Conroe just north of Houston.

then how about putting up some videos where you bench comp. instead of stopping 2 inches above your chest?
