I like how he ducked some of the hooks instead of quickdodged them in the last part of the video...I really hope he has a good strategy prepared for Don 2, cuz I am struggling against him. I can take him down in 2 minutes, but I know that it is possible to take him down a little faster...My personal best against Don 2 is 2:03.

Hey man... I hope you haven't scrapped this whole project, because I genuinely enjoy watching these vids. I just re-watched all of these MTPO walkthroughs and was once again very impressed with the production values.

I just checked out RedTom's Punch Out page, and it said you need to punch him in the face to get the first star, but it's extremely hard to do and doesn't get him down as fast. Your strategy is much better.

This is another awesome strategy. However, there's one minor issue: sometimes he doesn't punch me back when I try the forced delayed combo. Kinda like Doon 2 forcing me to punch him about 6 times before he attacks, but not as bad.

Just don't hold your forced punch down ahead of time and it usually works. A split second delay after the uppercut is required. But you can always just punch him again and it will always work the second time. Plenty of hearts.

And thanks to your Mike Tyson's Punch Out!! Fast KO/TKO Part 2 video, I figured how to put Sandman down at round 1.

My lowest mark is 2:47.

Now I only need to TKO Tyson at round 1.

I wish he was as easy as Super Macho Man. ;P

Any chance you could do a walkthru on how to quick-dodge? It's really essential with getting those delayed bodyblows after the forced jab...and it seems to be sporadic. Dodging right seems to do better than dodging left, but I only seem to get the quick-dodge about 2/3 of the time. No quickcharge = no delayed bodyblow = no star. :(

Then again I'm a punchout noob, but that's why these videos are great for me to get better.

Don't know if I really need to make a walkthrough on this. While you're in the middle of the dodge, press up. I sort of roll my finger from whichever direction I'm dodging (most of the time to the left) to the up position. Sort of like an inverted Street Fighter fireball. Some people like to press the opposite direction - that works too. So when you're dodging left, press right when you want to come back.

Practice on Joe for that first 40 seconds when he can't hit you. Shouldn't take long.

Well maybe not a walkthrough on it...might have been overstated. I've been using the opposite direction to pull off quick-dodges, but it only seems to work about two-thirds of the time. If your timing is imperfect for whatever reason, pushing back only seems to slow him down a little bit and there's no quick-dodge. It's insignificant in minor and major, but against Bull 2 its a huge deal.

I haven't used the up button, but I practice with it to see if it improves. Thank you :)

It sounded the same as the rest before I uploaded it, but I agree it sounds a bit better. Probably something in youtube's compression process was improved. This is the first time I've been able to upload a raw video without compressing it down to size, so that might be it.

I've been playing these same games since around the age of 3(I'm 25 now) and I never knew about most of those things like proper punches, left blow is faster ect.

Anyway, I was thinking that another good game for you to tackle next would be Mega Man(any of them would be good), because those are quite difficult.
