Ah. Don't get me wrong, he must have tremendous tallent. It's totally impressive at every level. It's just that when one watches something advertised as magic you really want to at least be convinced at some level that it's not just sleight of hand. He keeps his hands too close to his clothes for you to ever think that it's anything other than a trick.

Impressive moves but the act seems very monotonous. Change up the effects, I'd say. After a while it seems like the tricks are repeating but in different styles. Not bringing him down.. but I've seen better from him.

Interlocked production from Expert Card Technique (Hugard and Braue) towards the end there. I haven't seen that used before in anger much. It's a variation of the front and back palm. He had quite a bit of finger movement on it but I don't believe it's possible to transfer the packet of cards in and out the palms without that. Still looked relatively mystical but not as fast and instant as the classic front and back palm.

You are correct, As perception is unique to the person watching. And the magi are all seeing something apart to their own level of understanding. Or ego tripping into a belief they can do it better. It is so much better to rattle the cage than to sit idle and not comment. I like the guy's creativity and skill. I follow his work. I don't know how he did any of the stuff with the ring, but the cards and ball tricks were actually easier to track on video than I thought at first - he just can hide stuff with his hands FLAWLESSLY. Truly amazing.

Also I think it's difficult to convey some of his stuff without that slightly arrogant air. He could do it differently but it wouldn't suit the music or the rythm he sets.
