  • why was the signal green then than it

    was red?

  • whats the second unit? iv never seen one befor.

  • It's a GE C40-9.

  • I see. Thanks

  • how did the signal change without a train passing it?

  • Signals change as trains occupy blocks nearer them. That's so opposing trains know well in advance that something is occupying a block further up the line. If they did not change colors, there would be a VERY HIGH chance of a head on collision.

  • Cool, a crossing without bells, lights, or gates. You might find only one of those up here if you know where to look. Great early morning video!

  • There are MANY of those around here on both NS and CSX....

  • Yes, that is because people in the South actually know how to wait for a train. People in the north are crazy, even the back roads which are barely used have gates and lights.

  • That's why the "private crossing" sign was invented- becauses northerners couldn't take a hint (j/k)!

  • wow! Amazing horn!

  • Nicely done! Good picture quality and effects. I like the defect detector on the scanner. Sounds just like the CSX detectors in my area. Keep up the good work.

  • Really good video man!

I like the compilation of signal, scanner & train. It's almost like you're there. Great railfanning experience vid.

  • Nice!! Catfish and a Top Hat won't go wrong, especially since the catfish appears more on an NS line.
