I'd also be curious to know how much Islamic Relief and the like, actually give to non-Islamic countries or countries that have little to no Muslim population. My instinct tells me not often but I'm happy to be disproven. It's just that I don't hear Muslims talk about Northern Ireland or Tibet or North Korea or New Orleans or Haiti or frankly any area of the world struck by oppression and misery that doesn't directly affect 'their people'.

@cldump I'd say the line between cult and religion is measured only by how widely it is adopted, but that it's more useful to treat them as synonyms. That washing 'sin' off a child ritual of baptism, for instance, is a horribly immoral concept. The unique problem of Islam though, is its assertion that the holy book is literally true down to the T, a hermetic seal impeding progress, where unlike The Bible, you can't do much to dilute it. Islam in essence, is as bloody as 7th Century Christianity.

@TitaniumByFire WIth a winner takes all, convert and conquer, 'Drag You All to Hell' mentality, being advocated or rationalised in one form or another, it becomes difficult to argue that these religions have any moderates. I still think it's an important distinction because it's unacceptable to brand most people terrorists when they aren't. But I make my position clear : if you support any of these books, you are enabling atrocities and at least have to take some latent responsibility.
