I hate it when people ask me why atheists do this and do that like I represent all atheists. We all have a variety of beliefs but the one thing that we all have in common is that we do not believe in god so to ask about anything other than why we don't believe or anything related to that is absurd.
I'm one of those people who can't get past the ideology. I don't dislike Jack, but I don't like him the way you seem to. I can see why you do, but I'd say you don't really know Jack. I've known him since before he had his T4P channel, and he's a liar, well maybe liar is to strong a word, he's deceptive. Ask him if he supports gay marriage rights, or believes in evolution for example, and you won't get a straight answer.
@TheNakedAtheist -listen, it's tricky. Most christians are anti gay marriage and evolution. While I feel it to be immoral to be against gay rights, I understand that, that mindset is the fruit of his faith. Now if he held these beliefs while the majority of the christian world felt differently, that would say more about Jack, the man. You are right, however, I don't really know him.

I'd have more respect for him if he were honest. He has the same weaselly way of approaching the question of hell. I can assure you that he doesn't espouse the "separation from God" idea of of hell within the circle of his fire, and brimstone baptist church.

That being said I don't know of a single Christian on youtube who is clearly anti gay marriage, and anti evolution that any atheist would consider reasonable, or one of the "good Christians". Jack knows this, and deceives in order to be accepted by people who he knows wouldn't accept his honest opinions on gays, evolution, hell, or abortion.

You are a cleric who has lost your power to torture or imprison or kill but only victimize helpless children. I am neither a child not helpless. I am a FREETHINKER! Deal with it!
@TogetherForPeace It's an intervention, Jack. Of course it will sting a little but once the illness subsides, you will be grateful. There is no need to lash out; you're in the throws of a horrid disease - just look at what it's done to humanity in the last 2000 years! We are all here to help you. Cris is a gentle giant in his approach; I don't have that problem.

The church he was affiliated with in Seattle was absolutely anti gay marriage, and evolution.
