nice I did something like that to. I taped a tripod to the dash and shot. I need to do a lot of editing. the camera did not stay in place. it would fall back or fall forward. I did get a good puddle vid.

How did you mount your camera ?

I had removed the top and the rear seat and mounted a tripod in the bed. I secured it using wire and cord.
