Please tell me why people listen to this and still whine about the Darkness reuniting? This is every bit as good as The Darkness to me. I hope to hear more from Hot leg after this reunion thing is done.
@UKNMajor fuck yea!! sure Freddie was good but no one ever "invented" a style...I'm pretty sure there was someone before Freddie Mercury and Robert Plant...who could sing exactly the same. I think people who diss Justin have to consider the fact that nothing is ever created nor destroyed so he's up there with Robert Plant, Freddie Mercury, joey ramone...etc in my opinion too.
@fugubob and you've never seen Justin live. I saw Queen AND Led Zeppelin live, and I can tell you - Justin is better at singing in tune consistently than either Freddie Mercury or Robert Plant. The only reason he isn't considered one of the true greats has to do with the way the Darkness marketed itself as a "fun" band, and the fact that the type of authentic rock they do is not as popular now as it was in the 70's when Queen and Led Zeppelin were carving out their legacy. Justin is amazing.
Don't get me wrong, I love Justin. And fully believe he's a great vocalist, but he (in my opinion) will never have the impact Plant and Mercury had on what it meant to be a Rock Vocalist. Justin does nothing vocally that hadn't been done before. Honestly, Justin's legacy resides more in his brilliant lyrics, song writing, and stage presence. With that he pretty much destroys anything that passes as "Rock" on modern rock radio.
