hey i just bought my ipod touch 8gb 3 days ago

i uploaded music and stuff

then i wanted to jailbrake it so i used ziphone and the process took longer than 3 minutes so i clicked stop process and now all the touch says is

BSD root : md0, major 2, minor 0

it says the firmware version is 8.108.3.p65 (0x41086c03)

it doesnt even connect to itunes or gets detected

First of all don't worry. Open iTunes, Connect your iPod, Turn it on, it will have the text scrolling, right? now you can freak out, you screwed your iPod

haha Just kidding, the text will scroll, Hold Home and the Sleep Button at the same time, for about 30 seconds, don't release the 2 buttons even 1 second, if you do you will have to start again, ok hold it for 30 seconds until the apple logo appears, now release the sleep button but not the home. it is on itunes. Restore. Tell me how it went.

IF you do try on a mac, here's how to get your ipod touch back to normal: If it is still showing the white text, hold down power and home til it is off. If you hold it for too long it will turn on again. Once it's off, start holding down menu and connect your ipod to your computer. Keep holding menu til itunes opens and shows a message saying that it needs to restor your ipod. Dismiss the message but don't click restore. Then, see the next comment for more...

I just did this. It worked on my 32GB iPod Touch. I had to try about six or seven times. It was a little frustrating but worth it. Installer worked with no problems along with summerboard. Thanks man.

My theory is that running more sessions just slow down the process.

you can always go into force restore mode, then boot it back to normal with ziphone.

make sure itunes is closed

hold down both buttons until the apple logo appears (10-15 sec.)

let go of the power button, but keep holding the home button

it should show the connect to itunes thing

open ziphone and click boot into normal mode
