The second modern olympics was held in conjucntion with this exposition- and the third as part of the 1904 St. Louis World's Fair. The Olympics was an exhibit at the fair in those days. It's now grown more prominment than the fairs. Perhaps they should be combined again.
hi 44032 - yes it would be good if the two were held together again - though affording to go to both might be daunting, given the cost of entry into just the games - they were here in sydney in 2000. best, nick
hi MRoderics - yes i saw that upload - could be - though it could equally be anyone in a white jacket - not sure what made that person think t was wilde - the general appearance of the body from behind? but it could be him too. what do you think?
@nickwallacesmith Wilde had a large frame at 6ft 3in (1.90 m) and it was said he had sort of an elephantine gait (check /watch?v=c37_ZspZi8c), which seems to fit the white jacket man. But you're right: it could be him or any other person...
hi MRoderics - being an optimist i'm wanting to believe it's wilde too - the frame and the gaity are right as you say. we need great digital enhancing software at this point! cheers

Someone said the tall man in the white suit at 1:54 to 1:59 could be Oscar Wilde...
