this must be a live recording... they should release it in a more available way tho, god I love MA and I only found out about this track just yet. I'm sure there are more hidden treasures like this one to unravel!
I'm so pissed. It's like the best songs were not included on Heligoland. 'Dobro' 'Hartcliffe Star' and 'Kingpin' not up to par with the other tracks? These songs will never have studio versions produced? So disappointing...
i here really divided opinions about new album, among fans. Im rahter pro, i like the fresh direction they tried. Its really a pity that many amazing track such as this one arent on the album! why it couldnt have 15 tracks? whats the problem? this doesnt fit? I can really listen to about 5 tracks in Heligoland, but some moments there as wierd declamation rap style in Atlas air look like unalterated.
I still miss tracks like DOBRO, ALL I WANT or UNITED SNAKES. Or KINGPIN as well. These would be just too great
on HELIGOLAND.
I've read in a mag' interview that 3D wasn't so satisfied about several tracks they had been playing on stage, hence their "deletion" from the album.
I still wish we had at least DOBRO, coz that one was rising in energy all along, and it would be so better than FLAT OF THE BLADE, which, except for the middle part, i don't really like (the less good one, IMO) !!
@rockdoublard Heligoland In order i think: pray for rain sucked but was brilliant from 4:20-5:20, babel was pretty good. Certainly after listening to pray for rain. splitting the atom was gay, Girl was pretty good, the remix of psyche was 100 times better, flat of the blade was garbage, paradise circus was AMAZING, rush minute was pretty good, saturday comes slow was pretty good, and atlas air just wasn't classic massive attack but it was pretty good. overall.. to me it was EH. what do u think?
@Disposition446 *** Hey there ! My fav's ones on this one are : ATLAS AIR, GIRL I LOVE YOU, PRAY FOR RAIN (sry, here we disagree...), PARADISE CIRCUS, and a tie for SATURDAY COMES SLOW and RUSH MINUTE. Now, 4 me, PSYCHE is good and BABEL not bad. SPLITTING THE ATOM is bof bof, and i most dislike FLAT OF THE BLADE, the worst track of the lp IMO. But too bad again for DOBRO, and too bad the cd was that short (10 songs :*( ........that's really few)
@Disposition446 **** Hum, if you're not afraid at the idea of discovering an indie psychedelic US band...
well maybe you could like The Flaming Lips. Their music is really peculiar and destabilizing (unhinging),
but it's pretty creative at the same time ! Also of interest is Mercury Rev, another indie band.Otherwise, i can't but marvel at Bowie's work : i have almost all of his LPs, and man, that guy really is a genius ! And for once, believe me, that word is used adequately ! And Radiohead !
massive love...massive respect......for free people.....for free lover.....for free relogion......people livin' free...

@rockdoublard So what other bands do you listen to that you would recommend? Two amazing bands I found were Lovage, and Moodorama.
