I don't know what's up with those of us who played SWG, but a bunch of us have some serious nostalgia and closure issues. The good ol' days of soloing krayt dragons... player housing... being free and not forced down a predesigned path.
@Davito2000 It's so true. I still feel like I never got closure from what happened with SWG or be will ever be able to look at another SW mmo without wanting to cry.
I too miss SWG but swtor has not had a server crash yet. SWG had so many glitches which use to make me pissed. Or server role back and you lose gear. SWTOR is groing on me i would give it another shot.
agreed, check out star wars Galaxies EMU, the good guys at EMU are re-writing all the code from sony :) so this will be free to play and back to how it was before sony broke it. its still in progress but its looking good, love galaxies not lovin swtor

I'm loving SW:TOR.Your Class Story is KOTOR 3. Looks pretty cool to me. It's not High Fantasy YAY! The companion system is great. I usually play a healer so having my own Tank is great. Seems like you are looking for a WOW killer. The people who play WOW are too "socially invested" in WOW for anything to kill it. Rift is close to being a better game than WOW but, no one will leave WOW for it. They'd miss their "Friends" too much. The thing to do is step away from for a bit and then try new MMOs.
damn. i am dwnlidin swtor now. I hope it will at loewast have fyun content. I admit... the graphics are unimpressive so far what i have seen, but i have not been in the game yet. They dont look bad, just not very good for a game tha released in nearly 2012. I still say LOTRO has nice graphics..but no open world pvp..and thats what i really miss..
@matthew33179 You won't ever see an MMO that looks like Skyrim or w/e because it would shut out too many potential customers. One of WOW's strengths is it will run on many types of machines. Just enjoy it for what it is. I played WOW for 6 years. I maxed in Rift an now i'm playing SW:TOR. I played both KOTORs so by law I have to play SW:Tor lol. The thing I learned to do to enjoy other MMOs after WOW is looking for positive differences instead of similarities. I hope you enjoy it. I am:)
The ui is similar with the blue style because that's just star wars. I think you didn't see what was so good about it because you weren't looking at the small things that make it great, but expecting something it's not because of the feedback. Galaxies was never "good" it was always supposed to get better, but never did. The only good thing about SWG was the community. I think SWTOR will have a good community as well. Barely anyone could play SWG @ max graphics, not good business.
I agree with you on the graphics,Also I think bioware stole allot of stuff from Wow and Wow is one of my least fav mmo, and I have been playing mmo's since before EQ1. The swtor game play is cool and the pet idea rocks. But right now im giving it 7 and that is mostly because the graphics are ok at best. Lets see what bioware can do.
