Hukabee...You are probably the best of the CFR puppets the GOP is pushing on us, but you are still a Counsel on Foreign Relations member, which takes you off my ballot. The CFR is no laughing matter as the CFR agenda super-cedes everything. The blue and red wings are attached to the same CFR bird!

This is why we elect new faces, and get the same status quo results over and over.

Is 0bama really that much different than Bush? Thanks, but I've had enough CFR.

The POINT is to make energy more expensive so consumers think about their usage more. C&T creates incentive for businesses to either clean up, or pay for it. Either way prices go up, but it's much more like an investment in sustainability than big government telling you how much your cows can fart. Huckabee is ridiculous.

Did you? I've studied environmental economics (and cap & trade schemes) for a year so it's not like I'm just pulling this out of nowhere. The cost of environmental destruction is far higher than the cost of cleaning up.

Maybe those numbers would change if the issue of climate change hadn't been twisted by the media to the undereducated. It's too complex an issue for 250 characters but we need to start planning for a sustainable future... it's called adaptation, and Huckabee is a creationist so obviously he'll choose the point of view with the least possible facts involved.

It would not necessarily help people stop smoking. Legalizing drugs would bring a lot of revenue to the government. Reagan also advocated ending the war on drugs.

Have you looked at his record when he was governor? He raised taxes, he's a big environmentalist, and he gets in bed with the NEA. Do your homework!

I did somewhat. I am unaware of which taxes he raised and by how much but the state leg. would be just as much to blame. Conservatives need to be more environmentally friendly. Why we refuse to do this (without going to the crazy extreme) is bewildering to me. The NEA thing bothers me but if that's the only quirk I'm OK with that.

That's why I say he's not a true conservative. I real conservative would be Ronald Reagan, Ron Paul, Barry Goldwater, Jack Kemp, etc. I think that there are actually too many republicans who go along with The Green Movement. It's a manufactured crisis by democrats who want more control over your life. I think he was the one that raised taxes on cigarettes, and supported a few other tax hikes. He's more of a liberal than a conservative.

We should triple the taxes on cigarettes since people refuse to stop smoking them. That would *really* help with the HEALTH CRISIS that Mike talks about in his most recent vid. If Ron Paul, who wants to legalize everything under the sun, is a conservative, then I want no part of it. Don't group Reagan and Paul together. Reagan did not want gov't to back out of everything.
