  • Honestly, I'm shocked this professor addresses graduate students of theology as though they're high-school aged. Using examples such as relating the temples to the white house... it's just weird. Asking if the listeners know what ontology is?

    I shake my head.

  • I thought this was directed to a general audience - not a class.

  • Oh, sorry, I thought I read on Part 1 that he was addressing Wheaten College Post Graduate students. I'll go check it out again.

  • Looks like you are correct... I misunderstood.

Either way I'm not faulting the general message nor the messenger it's all excellent and inspired me in several ways.

Thanks again for posting the series and for your kind correction of my error.

  • No problem... but I will affirm your original chagrin. The instant gratification of technology makes for a largely illiterate population especially when it comes to the Bible.

  • Mmm my original chagrin, when I really think about it, was a bit snooty and also based on perhaps oversensitivity to the public regarding the white house as a temple and its occupant as some deity (all of which make me nauseous). I scold myself for being uppity :-/. But don't mind holding on to my concern for the upside down view of our servant government.

  • i would say that in all the history of christianity the majority of christians have been bible illiterate

most allways wish to present a few verses out of context which they had told to them the "correct" reading.
