This dude is better than DRE. DRE just has more connections. We as humans are always going to give a legs up with the person we always here on the radio. However dre is more diverse, where BattleCat sticks to his roots, (west coast).
Battlecat......big homie on that west coast sound no doubt. Every person responds to music in their own way which makes music non discriminative. (For those commenting about Dre, Focus, Scoop Deville..etc) they have their own interpretations of west coast music, just so happens that Battlecat is in his comfort zone when it comes to displaying that west coast funk...props to all music tho....peace
Cat is a musical genious. I remember his first drum set @ grandmomma's house, early eighties, mix tapes with "So Ruff, So Tuff" by Roger (RIP), Cat was the man back then, too. Dues paid.
