First thing I did (and the first time I used my microwave in months!). Sadly, nothing. It's not a particularly sensitive Geiger counter though: I have some marbles made from radioactive glass and they make the green like blink only about twice as normal.
Lol, not the same guy you got that pen from is it?
Have you ever seen a video called "The Poor Man's James Bond", it's basically a guy making incredibly dangerous spy stuff (most of it lethal) using normal household objects.
Also crazy shit like turning a disposable book of matches into a pretty dangerous booby trap, won't kill you, but you could lose a couple of fingers.
I've not seen that video you mentioned. I was suspended from school for a week when I was 14 for taking in a death ray gun I'd built from an old microwave magnetron however. My mum wasn't happy!
Have you tried using it near the microwave?

Do radioactive glass marbles do anything differently to normal ones?
Also the green and red lights, is green good and red bad?
You could also try going near a dentist or a hospital with a CAT scanner, see if it picks anything up there.

The marbles are particularly fragile compared to regular ones, plus they glow brightly in ultraviolet light.
The green light generally means safe, the red one tells you to get the hell out of there!

Wow, so they're not for actual use in marble games or anything?
Do you know if the counter had any history, I mean was it actually used by the military? Could have been in Chernobyl :D

Nah, it's got no history as such: I bought it boxed and brand new, directly from a spy (eBay).

Wow, did it work?
I really remember that guy as Chris Tarrant used to take the piss out of him all the time, really lethal stuff.
Also ever seen those people converting super soakers into flame throwers?

I only tested it on plants. It killed them!
I've actually tried pressurised water pistols with petrol but found that the petrol eventually melted the plastic.

I'd have loved to see that gun though :D
Yeah, I've seen people convert them and the main thing they do is replace the nozzle with metal, that helps quite a bit.
