  • VERY NICE lol sounds like borat. great kills you guys rock

  • @mikhailSRT4 Thanks mate appreciate your comment.

  • Hi fellas, can you tell me what brand projectile you are using out of the 22.250, I know they are 55gn but interested in the brand.

Thankyou and great videos - love watching them.

  • @pissedofffranchisee We have been using Sierra Hallow Point Bout Tail for a long long time, best performance, and very good accuracy.

  • Greetings from Canada, Waikarimoana! Beauty shot and nice videos! I know you posted this vid a while ago so no worries if you are unable to reply, but I have a question about neck shots (and you seem to be an expert). Im a younger hunter, but I've got a nice reliable rifle and I'm a decent shot (I know my capabilities) but there were times I waited for a shot at the vitals and it never came. If I'd been confident in the neck shot I would have fired. Do you try to hit the spine, or dead centre?

  • @ghettogoldteef The best way to look at it is,when the deer pick the head up and it is standing broadside and you can see the ear, just put the cross in its ear hole and squeeze the trigger. Now if you are feather away from the distance you have sighted the rifle, don't worry because the drop will be small and would hit the neck.As a role of thump, if you sight the rifle one inch high at 100 yards you would still hit the neck at 400,as the neck is quite long and compensate for bullet drop.

  • @ghettogoldteef basically anywhere. because its all that controls the neck movement. you muck up the muscles in the neck and your good to go. and their is a jugular, the throat and the spine. so anywhere will do you good basically.

  • @TheTrickshooter Well said mate.

  • shot a big black bear years ago with a 220 swift , under the chin, dead before he hit the ground. great rifle.....

  • @mrsmelzbad Good on you mate well done.

  • what types of critters do you guide for? Im a former hunting guide myself, elk, deer, bear, dall sheep, caribou... heard many good things about NZ., hope to make it there one day before the end of the world.

  • We have 6 type of deer in NZ and Himalayan tahar and Shammis wild cattle and sheep.Goood luck mate.

  • @mrsmelzbad ya to have to agree with u there,great rifle,i use a 220 swift myself,mostly deer and foxes,no bears in ireland,unfortunatley!!!!

  • Another awesome video. Animal taken cleanly. In Canada, .243 is the smallest caliber we are allowed to use on big game. My .22-250 is strictly a predator rifle. You must be loading that pretty hot to be pushing a 55gr to 3800 fps. What make of rifle are you using?

  • I use Remington rifles and this one is over 25 years old and have shot over 5000 deer in that time. The barrel never gets hot one shot for sighting and one shot kill most of the time.Good luck mate.

  • 235 yards is ok the hho was well placed .. but my favert rifle is the 220 swift had a fox 2 nites ago 238 yards head shot and the fucker was troting across a field ... the swif in my openion is the most accret gun ever made.. sorry for my spelling...

  • We love swift but we use this caliber because it is cheaper to reload it is said that predators are harder to bring down than prey.Safe hunting mate.

  • yep. 220 is very accurate. consitantly shoot dime sized 5 shot groups @ 100 yds with cheep federal ammo. Deer hunt with mine. Use 55 gr HP. 20 + kills every one dropped where they stood. Turns the heart and lungs into jello, even out at 350 yrds.

  • @hedgecockt Ever so sorry for delay you are absolutely right and thanks for the comment.

  • awesome shooting! Nice clean kill. Which would you rate better the 22.250 or the 220 swift?

  • The performance of the 2 calibers are very good and 220 swift can reach an extra 20 to 25 meters. We use 22.250 because it is cheaper for brass and powder and parts. You have good one mate and GLAD to be your mate.

  • hey are you a hunting guide?

  • Yes mate we are and member of NZ professional hunting guide association.you have a good one mate.

  • Another nice one! well done lads

  • Thanks mate.

  • Nice shooting man, what range this at, what calibre??

  • The distance was 235 Meters and caliber was 22-250 and Remington rifle.Projectile was 55 grain HPBT with velocity of 3800 feet per second. You have a good one mate.
