Whether or not there were too many frills or a few flats these ladies did a beautiful job because of what this song is supposed to mean. Did you even listen to the message spoken before they sang about love and kindness?
It makes me wonder if the hatred i feel coming off your words are more about the fact that these ladies are mormon/lds than because you come from a "musical background" or "have an ear for music". i am sorry but i disagree.. its the ugliest version of this song i have ever heard.. just being honest.. i come from musical background, you dont jazz up a song and then kill it with frills then end the song like that ... totally ugly.. you spoilt the song.. should of kept it simple.. simple is best.
this is a song that needs simplicity.. too much frills kills a song and majority of our church members are not singing songs in church the way it shoudd be but are singing it like you sing worldly songs.. its not cool... and just to set the record straight, this is not a LDS SONG..
