Who said this is not Vogue? The person in the fishnet stockings was definitely voguing. There is more than one style of vogue. Voguing and Waacking are two different styles; they even use different music. Vogue uses more underground House, and Waacking is usually danced to more 70s disco/80's music. Though in modern times, people waack to house music as well. Both dances fall under the House Dance category. I love both dances, I respect both dances.

And yea, there is a difference. Wacking made its appearance in the 70's. It was a dance style utilized by drag performers in underground gay clubs all over. Especially the eastern region of the US. Then later made another appearance on dance shows such as SoulTrain in disco music. It incorporates breaking of the wrists, elbows, and shoulders. Its really fast paced and interesting. "We Are Heroes" were noted on ABDC4, for being the 1st crew to truly utilize wacking in their choreography.

yes love the second song, the escalator piece and the editing. However, this "Wacking" is simply voguing w/o the technique, dips, and duck walk. Just like "Krumping" no technique. People try and find a name for everything.

Whacking has technique. There's a difference between whacking, voguing and locking. Just like there's a difference between mannequin, robot and popping. It's about gesture and execution. Krumping also has technique and purpose.

Anyway, voguing has stops, pauses and is primarily about the "drama" of the dance. Whacking can be verrrry intricate, with the wrist movement especially highlighting beats in songs. See the Syrenz or We Are Heroes. They do whacking.
