if anybody is wondering how to make any 4 stroke sound GOOD(better than anything iv seen here) alll you need to have is small sized tube from engine all the way to dump off point, then make a" fart tube" out of THIN metal3 or 4 inch sounds good. just make sure it is a smaller pipe, and at the end, dumping into a LARGE pipe a couple feet long and open on the end. sound will amplify in "fart tube" if material is thin walled. think wood stove pipe or spray paint can with the bottom cut off

Im modifying a 94 Murray- im pretty much at my limit without major modifications. It came with a stock 14HP briggs- i swapped a '96 18.5 twin cylender on it- has: straight pipes(for now)- tapered bering hubs, 6" engine and 4" trans pulley on stock trans- it winds out to almost 40mph- im aiming for 60 tho.

I've got that same motor on a murray but i have a piece of galvanized pipe I screwed in for exhaust, but times is hard.
