@1988deef THAT is a LIE! Keeping to right side except to pass others (where passing is allowed) is a standard rule of the road in Germany, as well. If there is very little to no traffic, you're supposed to... well... keep to right side ;-) .... and that, regardless of how fast you're driving.

I used to drive like this every morning on my way to school (about 40 miles away) just because it was all highway and very early. After a couple or of very close calls and some running i lost my license, just recently got it back. Now i cant beleive i was driving like such a maniac, there are enough idiots on the road without me, i was lucky enough to learn this lesson before totaling my car or killing anyone, i hope the same happens to this kid before that happens.

It's not smart to ride in the emergency lane at high speeds. Mainly because if you go around a car into the emergency lane, and theres a car at a dead stop there. Then your fucked. Plus that lane will eat your tires up, if its the same in america.

well, speeding and reckless driving are different things. In Germany they do drive fast, but you must understand the difference between "fast" and "reckless"
for example in Germany on 3-lane highways where there is no speed limit (there are parts with speed limits-130 km/h) 2 left lanes accelerate to 160-200 km/h(generally) and those who don't want to drive so fast drive in the right lane. It's speeding, but it's not reckless, it doesn't look dangerous. Those who want to drive fast can do it in the left lane. There is no "flying" between lanes like here in the clip. And nobody occupies left lane without necessity.
So I mean it looks very organised and not dangerous in Germany to drive fast. I wish we had something like that in Russian Fed., but it is impossible, of course. Different cultures, traditions, different approach to discipline and order...

Just for example, one russian consulate official in Geneve told me about russian citizen who had come to Switzerland and had driven through Switzerland at about 200 km/h... He had been overtaken by police cruiser and charged with numerous offences.
This man had business in Sw. and had almost been deprived of it because of this "small" action... Also deprivation of sw. visa and driving license had been concerned...
Most of Germany has speed limits. The Autobahn only accounts for less than 30% of the roads in Germany and most of the Autobahn has speed limits. Don't believe everything you see in the movies! xD. Germans are very disciplined in their cars.

Some of best driving I've seen (other than the Auto Bahns in Germany) is on the way to the South of France via Le Mans; drivers religiously overtake and pull back in 'immediately', you can quite happily cruise at 120mph :)
In conclusion, I applaud fearful garden on his video and the driver for driving confidently at such speeds. I only hope there are more videos to come - hopefully at higher speeds. Do you have a vehicle that can push the 155 mark? 200 mark?

I used to drive like this every morning on my way to school (about 40 miles away) just because it was all highway and very early. After a couple or of very close calls and some running i lost my license, just recently got it back. Now i cant beleive i was driving like such a maniac, there are enough idiots on the road without me, i was lucky enough to learn this lesson before totaling my car or killing anyone, i hope the same happens to this kid before that happens.

There should be a disclaimer of idiocy on this video. Just sayin'. I feel sorry for the poor kid who looks this video up and thinks oh wow, that looks like fun, let me try it, then they end up dead. This video is a direct result of our crappy DMV system. In most states you drive for 2 minutes, do a 3 point turn, and boom you have your license. This kid should loose his license for that. Reminder: driving is a privilege, not a right.

It's not smart to ride in the emergency lane at high speeds. Mainly because if you go around a car into the emergency lane, and theres a car at a dead stop there. Then your fucked. Plus that lane will eat your tires up, if its the same in america.

for example in Germany on 3-lane highways where there is no speed limit (there are parts with speed limits-130 km/h) 2 left lanes accelerate to 160-200 km/h(generally) and those who don't want to drive so fast drive in the right lane. It's speeding, but it's not reckless, it doesn't look dangerous. Those who want to drive fast can do it in the left lane. There is no "flying" between lanes like here in the clip. And nobody occupies left lane without necessity.

There are some... I saw several times in Germany so called "aggressive sitting on tail" or whatever it's called when driver behind you doesn't keep distance and tries to get you off the left lane. But that's almost all. I didn't see any "flying between lanes" n Germany. In Switzerland the discipline is even more serious. There is almost NO violation of any traffic rule there.

Just for example, one russian consulate official in Geneve told me about russian citizen who had come to Switzerland and had driven through Switzerland at about 200 km/h... Most of Germany has speed limits. The Autobahn only accounts for less than 30% of the roads in Germany and most of the Autobahn has speed limits. Don't believe everything you see in the movies! xD. Germans are very disciplined in their cars.

This is a very good car, shame its being driven by a tool. Anyone can drive fast in a straight line or before you make any wise arse comments, on a very slight bend on a motorway. Skillful driving comes into play on back roads WHICH ARE EMPTY. Undertaking and driving on the hard shoulder... all that shows is that you are a prick. I reckon on a back road you couldn't make that Saab shift except on the straights. I know people who would most liely beat you in a van.I hope no one is ever hit by you

dont get it, i have the same car and i only recomment to get it if you have warranty on it. the stupedest things go wrong with it. well it still depends which saab your getting, but i mean the ones that are owned by GM are the worst, i have the 06 9-3 aero sedan, i love it bc i have shit done to it and its a big head turner but its got the most random stuff that brakes on it. been in the dealer alot with it. just keep that in mind

I don't condone the hard shoulder over/undertakes, but gees those US drivers like to hog the outside lane.
Some of best driving I've seen (other than the Auto Bahns in Germany) is on the way to the South of France via Le Mans; drivers religiously overtake and pull back in 'immediately', you can quite happily cruise at 120mph :)

For every vehicle accident in the U.S. caused solely from travel at high velocity, there are 50 vehicle high velocity related accidents in combination with intoxication, fatigue or weather related factor. Learn a little about driving at high velocity, the physics of a vehicle and limitations of an experienced driver and vehicle and then come cry about this.
