What do you mean it's not coming back together? Do you know how to solder? If you don't that's okay but it's easy to look up and a useful skill to have. If something can be assembled than it be also be disassembled and reassembled. You just need to be careful with it.

"do not recharge" is because it will explode if charged directly on the battery, but it has a circuit board on it to prevent over charge, so the battery can be recharged.
all you have to do is bypass the power wire (usually negative side)aka skip the circuit board, and it will charge, after 5 minutes you can stop bypassing and it will charge on its own.
this is how all electronics like this work, there is a safety so you dont overcharge, problem is if its fully dead it triggers this safety aswell.
tape some wire to 2 sewing needles and tape for shock protection. then touch the pointy tips to the correct wire and correct terminal on the battery.
i suggest going to a battery place like interstate battery and change it for a lithion ion batterryor a lithion polymer batery which are use mustly on laptops and celphones

there is a fuse on the side with the 3 buttons.
look for the F1 fuse (its over by tp02 in the corner)
now multimeter test the fuse. if its open (O.L.) then just solder jump it.
if this doesnt fix it, your chip is bad and your SOL...

Have you figured out which wire (blue or yellow) is pos/neg? I found a GREAT battery online that increases the charge-storage by %40...Now that i have it (complete with a standard red/black : pos/neg connection cable) I am not sure which ones i should solder together! if you know the answer (or can resolve it) i will gladly share the link to the battery's page. it fits perfectly by the way....

@zuber1995 LOL. Thats what you get for buying somthing complicated from microsoft. Go get turtle beach x31s, great mic comfy, and you can hear all around you so they are great. Turtle beach has the best customer service I have ever seen pretty much dealing with this kind of stuff, but they do eat triple a batterys. but defintetly worth it and 100 bucks... i want a set but i got a crappy wired version of them for 60 with worst everything :(

@zuber1995 , @Pugsy55 You can call 1-800-4my-xbox. they will send you a new one in a couple weeks. I had a cord to charge my headset, that my dog chewed. I called that number (which is microsoft) and they sent me a whole new headset and charge cord!!! But now both headsets just won't charge after about 2 years!

Well, I wouldn't buy a WIRED mic. I bought 2, and both work. Best thing to do is save at least $100 to buy a Turtle Beach or Tritton.
If you only wanna spend 60 bucks, buy a Turtle Beach X1. But I would reccomend one of the above that i said.

its not the battery. its a IC (integrated circuit, or chip) inside the headset. nothing you can fix. i am a EE.

Same exact fucking thing happened to me man.. The first one I bought was broken right out of the box, wouldn't charge or do shit.. I took it to walmart and they wouldn't take it back even though I had the receipt and i had bought it only 1 day earlier. About a month later I bought another one. It lasted about a month and then stopped charging.. I think they are made to break. Bill Gates can gargle my left testicle..

the fact of the matter is when everyone bout their wireless head sets it was inevitable that they would crap out over. i new that it was only a matter of time i tried to make it last my charging it when the battery was completely dead but their just shit the problem is the battery's so wired head sets for the win their good i had one for a year and beat the shit out of it it still works even though its taped together lol

I recall someone replacing it with a LiPo 200mA, and it has a fail-safe chip in it too. But I'd rather have an accurate amount, just to be safe.

LOL i dropped my headset and i cant sync it or see any lights anymore. The entire earpiece is intact but the part that houses the mic normally is no more.
I basically have a mic hanging by a wire, but it still works well haha.
just wish it wasn't so ghetto since it's my only good mic
