I hate going in the winter! It was so cold last time I went. But the lights and decorations always makes me want to go. In November I watched them put up the Christmas tree. It was really beautiful! I want to go back in December sometime! Maybe this year!
@fearthecoconut Well, if Dolly buys Oprymills mall and tears it down to build a new theme park she has to name it Opryland USA and build it the way it was with remade rides identical to the ones that were there.
Love the video AND Dollywood! (We have season passes). I am going tommorow and it is supposed to be pretty cold. I hope that most of the rides are open! I can't wait to see the lights also!
You're welcome! I think I am going in late December also! I am getting excited for tommorow after watching this video. It will be my 15th time this year to Dollywood tommorow! Haha!
"Asheville is only about 1 1/2 hours away from Dollywood and it is much more affordable to frequent there than going off to Disney World" Disney World better be better. I was talking about the convenience of it being so close to Asheville for quick great trips. Thanks CG.
yeah its probably closer or more offordable but if you want like a better trip and stuff and maybe more things to do i would suggest disney or universal or something like that. but i know in this economy no one can really afford that anymore!
Mmm Dollywood! I've been going there for YEARS! I live about 2 hours away from it, I got A LOT during the summer, almost EVERY weekend, it's an amazing place. I just love the feel of the part, the musi, mmm just a great place to go. Right now I'm going on the 16th, can't wait to ride all the rollarcoasters!!
not bad, personally i wouldnt pay to get in there to ride a dam ferris wheel or a merry go round, thats why theres county fairs. But i dont go to fairs either lol I go for the peace in gatlinburg and the cabins in the mountains
dollywood is AMAZING! i love it. i went for my 15th birthday last june. i am a huge dolly fan and she is so incredibly humble, it's great she built such a place where people can go and enjoy themselves. i might be going back this summer. can't wait! thanks for the video, it brought back some of my memories. ;)
Dolly didn't build Dolywood. It was built by NC real estate developer Gorver Robbins as "Rebel Railroad" in 1962. Dolly had no affiliation with the property until 1986.
i didnt like dolly wood to much, there werent enough rides, but it is great for little kids, there is so much to do, if your more of a teen, splash park is so much fun!
It sure is! It's my favorite themepark. One of my favorite rides is the Rockin' Roadway cars. Since I'm handicapped with cerebral palsy, they let me get on rides first thing. I also have a friend who is a musician in the Kinfolks Show Band at the Back Porch Theater.
Woulda been better with some shots of the coasters. Other than that good video.
