Please, save your self-righteous indignation. Like the song and a few others of theirs, but this band is middle of the road good with a few clever hooks that I'm sure a select group will adopt as their musical orthodoxy. I concede that I like the Arctic Monkeys, and wonder why people would NOT mention them here when the similarities between the two bands' sound is so obvious? This band sounds like a Modest Mouse/Arctic Monkeys lovechild. Perhaps you don't think so. Perhaps you are a fool.
@barb1171 I think it is common for people to find a band/artist that really speaks to them personally and specifically. This becomes the basis for what they look for when they listen to music, and so everything else they listen to is done comparatively. Thus, that band/artist becomes their personal musical orthodoxy--the convention on which they form a belief system of likes and dislikes.
