we have this computer and after 15 months, the hard drive failed. It's going to cost a small fortune to repair and needs recovery discs not supplied by Gateway when You purchase the machine.

Gateway support, which I presume is in Asia somewhere, is unintelligible and of little assistance, although they are very polite about the nonsense they spew.

I find the touch screen, for most applications, to be inaccurate and cumbersome.

I would pass on this one if I were you.

@cdebov The hard drive was $150. the recovery discs from Gateway were $75. the labor costs of the place that diagnosed and replaced the hard drive and re-installed windows was $450 = $675.

Plus, the pain in the ass of re-installing all the programs, etc.

Still think it's a disgrace for a drive to fail after so short a time and $675 is considerably more than 90-150 us dollars.

@Couesnonfl Well 450 dollars to replace a hard drive is outrageous i do that myself, although I agree that this PC was poorly built. Didn't the actual computer cost less than 675?

i have this computer, i can barely play Counter Strike: Source on it, such technology cant play CS:S WTF the game is like 6 years old WTF!?  the video driver is wack, gaming is not one of this computers strong points its more of a media center.

windows earth viewer... its an application that automatically comes on the computer, and a couple others like that hp touch computer

Depends on what you want. This computer with is quad core and 1333MHz FSB will put the other all-in-ones to shame. However, the HP looks nicer and has some key features that the gateway lacks (i.e. BlueRay, BlueTooth, etc).
