  • audio sucks, bump it up brah!!!

  • Worfless, utterly worfless!!

  • I would like to tell anyone out there that this is very hard work and you will have alot of expences to sell your stuff. So with the dumb folks out there paying stupid money for units, units that you could score for 50 dollars are no fetching 500 dollars, and if you think you can make money guess again, Flea market 250 for the weekend, truck 17000 dollars, trailer 2700 dollars, helper 70 dollars a day, merchandise 500 dollars, weekend gross sales 1000 dollars, yep, you earn 125 a day minus unit.

  • yup bikes are an expensive wankers paradise, nice deal

  • @nowfabien lol

  • I went to a consignment auction yesterday and bought a locked lockbox.

I want someone to guess what I found in it.

    Go on, guess!

  • you could do something with those craft materials and sell it duhh

  • We ended up buying one full of neatly stacked organized boxes. not marked, that cardboard stuff.

    FULL OF TAX INFORMATION.

Horrible. I hate it. 300 dollars.

  • Well man I just bought my first unit for $640 bucks and even though I am going to break even there was lots of junk and small stuff which will add up for the $640. But really its exciting to open each box up and see what is in each box and the rest of the unit. My funniest/weirdest item I has was a few amateur nudes of this guys wife/gf lol.

  • The worst unit you ever bought... could have made your money back if you found someone who was a HOARDER! lol ;)

  • you were sitting on a gold mine of scrap book supplies!!..should have opened up shop and made some money scrap booking!

  • LOL.... another person with a fantasy job! Professional scrap booker! Best her husband was really HAPPY!!!!

  • Haha, I totally misunderstood you at first. I'm sitting here like "Why is he bitching? He founds BOXES of Crystal cups!" Then I realized you meant Krystal cups, like the burger place and I felt bad. Worst unit I ever got was the leftovers of a mom and pop corner store. Found some decent equipment, but boxes of old rotted canned foods and bags of old peanuts that rats had gotten to were horrible. Luckily it was a ten by ten, not very big, but still nasty. I also, luckily, made money on that one.

  • This comes with the business nothing new. I can tell it hit home @5:00. thanks for sharing.

  • I'm posting this to Facebook so you can be become the butt of all my friends jokes...lmao

  • its a pretty good business. Alot of work, not recommended for lazy people. Instead of looking in the paper for auctions, i found this website that has hundreds of listings

  • @mrjunebizzle whats the website for the auctions?

  • its a pretty good business. Alot of work, not recommended for lazy people. Instead of looking in the paper for auctions, i found this website that has hundreds of listings

    wwwtheauctionpagecom

  • love your videos man, would love to see you share some info on the storageauctionforums!!

  • Well now you know why she stop making payments lol

  • I got one just the other day. Taped boxes, and a trash can FULL of canned food, mouse crap, and dead roaches, Lucky I only payed 35 bucks. Oh.. and a piss stained mattress. Can't forget the mattress

  • @skippythumper123 -I just do not get the stained up mattresses, which are heavy as hell and smell horrible! Remember I am laughing with you, not at you !!LMMAO!

  • @Glendon007 Oh, I know. It's just funny that there is always that one or two mattresses, or box springs in the unit. And... Who the hell stores food?? lol

  • @Glendon007 I freaking hate mattresses. None of them are ever in good condition, if there IS a bedroom set it's never all there, and it takes up a TON of room in my trailer. Not to mention heavy, smelly, and usually pee stained.

  • @Glendon007 I only buy them when there is an even number of mattresses.

Where do these people sleep when they lose their mattresses in storage?

  • @skippythumper123 That must be my dad's mattress.... sry j/k

  • @skippythumper123 If you get enough mattresses you could recycle the metal saw that on Dirty Jobs.

  • @Comptekhs god if I had to tear apart mattresses and drive down to the recycler to make a dollar or 2, bad business all the way.

  • This was the funniest thing I've seen all week. I almost died laughing when you were describing the contents of each box after another

  • @onemiketwelve - it is funny now, but back then.....lawd I wish I had not bought it!

  • Couldn't you have taken those supplies to a scrapbook store and sold them?

  • @bucket415 -er no, the stuff had marks on it , some soiled it was a total loser of a unit! I am constantly amazed that this is the most view storage auction video on youtube!

  • @Glendon007 Yeah, the video was randomly suggested to me and I watched it. I've since watched a few more of your videos. Very interesting and informative. You should do some live videos of bidding on auctions and breaking down the contents of the lots you win. (maybe you already have?) I watch Storage Wars pretty regularly and like millions of other people, have been intrigued by the business. I'm just not one of the dumb ones that thinks I can get rich off of it in 3 months. ;) Subbed!

  • @bucket415 -Thanks for checking out the videos as for the "live" auction not going to happen, the storage facilities and bidders put a halt to that ideal last year, why do only see mom and pops on the storage tv shows....the last thing most real bidders want, is to be seen on Tv or Youtude.

  • I want to attend, to buy furniture for my home. I know that every year around Christmas, I take clothes, monitors, etc to the local Goodwill and donate for a tax receipt. Do you think I can do it with stuff from storage units that I do not want? It is a tax credit by donating items, a credit to use if filing a 1040 form and itemizing. Trying to get my plan together.

  • @sandrajeanification -yes, i did it all of the time. You bought the stuff, so what if you can take a large legal deduction that what it cost you even with depreciation. That is life in the USA baby!

  • My first auction had a guy that was pissed that his locker was getting sold. The cops came and tased him. I got it on video. Check out my channel.

  • @cheezeday -man that was WIIIIIIILLLLLLLLD I got it on the blog, thanks dude!

  • How about this the Storage houses fill their lockers with Crap and convince you to pay a lot of money for it....??

  • @MUDSWAT -nope that is the folks off the streets, much of America has crap in their homes begging for an escape!

  • did he really say from $1000.00 do $21000.00?!?!?!?!

  • I can top your worst unit. One of the units I bought this week had more mouse crap then any unit I have ever bought.

  • @storageauctions -Dude I have bought several units with mice crap from the roota to the toota

  • On Auction Hunters, that Sears Auto Cycle was worth like 3500, they sold for like 7500, so def money in bikes, new or old

  • Don't most storage places have a printable map of the storage units? We should be able to ask for a printout...

  • @rockscene2 - some have a property layout and and some don't!

  • Any used diapers ?

  • @InBy9OutBy5 -unfortunately YES!

  • @Glendon007 are u serious RTR

  • where are the best places to sell the stuff you buy in the units?

  • @sownds08 Ebay, Craigslist, Consignment stores, garage sale, Auction houses, Pawnshops.. or you can sell to a friend or family member. It takes a lot of work, but in the end it's worth it.

  • IF YOU ARE MAKEING THIS MUCH MONEY.WHY ARE YOU TELLING EVERYONE TO GO TO BUY A STORAGE BINS.KEEP THIS TO YOURSELF THAT WAY NO ONE WILL BID.

  • @got5at12 -dude the word has been out for a minute and I am no longer buying rooms, so I can really let it all hang out.

  • Teaching people how to do something can actually make you more money in the the long run. I do this with my music on my channel too @got5at12

  • What was the best unit?

  • @Ibringthetruth1 - check out my blog urbanpackrat

  • @Glendon007

ok. no vid here hurts the adsense?

  • @Ibringthetruth1 -What????

  • @Glendon007

    couldn't find it there.

  • You got a good voice to listen to and what you said kept me interested. Im a new subscriber now :) Keep up the good work!

  • @majtymicke -thank you!

  • @Glendon007 Glendon007 I don't like to bother anyone, but I have a question for you and hope you can give a reply.I went to a auction 12/30/10 and they were selling everything piece mill what I mean by that is by the box out of the storage unit/locker/bin now they did advertize that there was only 4 units up for auction do I need to find where they are sell alot more units I was on a website call auctionsunlimited

  • so what if you dont have a license and you are paying the sales tax

  • @Darayaray - I am not quite sure what you are asking?

  • @Glendon007 iam asking lets say you are buying storage without a license and then you would have to pay the sales tax. Well because you dont have a resale license and your paying a resale tax, do you still have to do a certain type of tax at the end of the year? Because with a resale tax o course you have to pay taxes right? but what if you are just a customer buying without a license to resale. I know you can still buy storage but do you have to pay taxes at the end of the year?

  • @Darayaray If you have a resale certificate yes, you should be pay sales taxes which is due every month. If you do not have a business license nor resale certificate it would still be self employment income, which means taxes are due on *profits* if you have any profits, yes income tax ( state and federal) will be due.

  • how are the taxes at the end of the year

  • @Darayaray if you run a business you "should" pay your taxes every quarter, it is less painful that way! In fact after the first year, you are penalized for not doing so, taxes were not bad at all, had deductions out the wazoo! *Note this is not any type of tax advice, seen a professional to ascertain your needs!*

  • Hello!! I would like to start doing this kind of stuff since I lost my job and have about 2K saved. How can I start?? where to find the auctions??

  • @jdavid044 go to my blog or watch the videos if you are in a rush get my book- Making Money A-Z with Storage Unit Auctions, good luck my dude and thanks for watching!

  • hey Glendon, I have been looking at your videos for a couple weeks now and i thoroughly enjoy them. your enthusiasm and knowledge of the business is awe-inspiring.

now, without boring you any further, with my jibber jabber... i have a question for you.

has anybody ever purposely filled a unit full of nice, taped boxes...of just pure crap? i'm talking crazy & worthless junk, for the sole purpose to mess with whoever ends up winning the unit? just curious...

  • @mrfunderful -that has crossed my mind, but could I prove it ? No, but somewhere down the line, it has happened. Thanks for checking out the channel and the comment!

  • Beginners Guide to Storage Auctions

  • Crayons.... A box of used crayons.. LOL

  • Crayola CRAYONS~ HAHAHAHA <3 Life of a storage buyer... i want to do this!

  • @Sixxinarow6 - it is funny now, but back then! Hell No!

  • @Glendon007 I would like to get into this kind of stuff because i would like to collect OLD historic stuff!!!! "And old coins" :)

  • tomorrow is the big day my first storage auction I called the office and they said they only had 4 units for sale 3 are good and 1 is bad what gives with that they already looked into the units ? did they take anything out ? how would I know?

I feel like a kid before Christmas I may not buy anything but the man did say I was only the 3ed to call it starts at 10am the auctioneers web posting says 11:30am I am going to be there at 9:30am just in case again Thank you for all your info. Morris

  • That box "#5" had me in tears! When you said cut-up pieces of newspaper, I couldn't contain myself. Looks like a fun business. As an full-ebayer who does only thrift stores and garage sales, this looks like a new angle to my work. Keep posting your finds.

  • @StevenVerd -dude it is funny now, but back them WHEW I was some kind of depressed but I went out the next day and scored big! Thank for watching!

  • @Glendon007 I've been thinking about doing this for a long time, but never got around it it. I'm going for it, and your videos are defintely serving for inspiration. I know, I will go slow and keep those expectations low and just start slow and not to expect much. But it seems fun, and is along the lines of what I do now which is garage saleing and going to thrift stores -- and never knowing what to expect. I just have to get my ducks in a line and figure out where to put all my finds.

  • @StevenVerd -nothing to it but to do it, only the strong survive out there, it will give you a chance to try something different! Good luck and thanks for watching!

  • i was dying watching you talk about opening the boxes. omg, when you said crayons , i was rolling. so funny. lololol, torn clothes, lololol, this is so hysterical. i am so sorry that happened to you. what a rip!

  • @freethinker3161 -Life inside a storage unit can be a trip, I do admit I was dying inside after finding out that this was a turkey through and through! Thanks for watching!

  • it's like poker.

  • @SpencerPCooley -It can be, but the olds are so much better!

  • Hey Glen nice video, I have a question for you. I live in the Bay Area and wants to go to one of the auction to check it out. Do you think if I go to a auction that is holding at a nice location, do you think I i will find more valuable stuff that I can sell? I am a student really low on budget and hoping to spent $300. Give me some advice. Thanks

  • I mean seriouslly how would you ever know if the lock they snap isn't another put up by some dude on a treasure hunt, west coast laws are pretty strict, east is a different story

  • I would never bid more than $25 or typiclly a couple hundred BELOW the opening bid (I would rather dumpster dive the lockup's dumpster after the auction as that stuffs gotta go one way or another & yeah bike parts do well (usually) anyway glad all worked out in the end!,

  • I started off like that but I got several units I paid 500-2500 for that full of great stuff, I look at it like going to Vegas and winning 90% of the time.

  • you're lucky, but as you say the cities you get a different demographics vs lets say my area (Cape Cod) it's usually less effluent, seasonals (having a house/apartment off season motels or camps in the summer though I shouldn't critize as I lived like this at one point), so it's unlikey you'll find some 350k gem that got midplaced in a grab box, other than that I have my share of geazers that had a private unit & croaked, but those are few & far between as homeowners here don't need to keep a unit

  • I was surprised at how well there is a guy Montana is doing! It was thoughts the further out you are the worse it can be for get room as is the case for you. I would not expect to much out of your area.

There is a auction going on here today, there are 75 people there so I don't know about the lucky, we have a lot of rooms here and a lot of competition too!

  • cool score some deals!

  • do not bid on these auctions. you know the workers get all the good stuff first, plus you could get scabies or anything. a waste of time and money! forget it!

  • Thats very true (I admit when I was Powerseler I had sources on the inside :) that didn't do eBay themselves & would have me trade assist the goodies (abandonded units only when next of kin couldn't be contacted) in my state the laws are lax & the contents are generally considered waste, so alot do this.

  • buying these lockers is a mistake. you know the workers take out all the good stuff. plus you could get scabies or anything. not a good idea! expensive waste of time!

  • Eddie,

That is not entirely true ( remember the line from Independence Day) sure sometimes people on the property go through the units, but 95% of the units I got that was not the case!

  • @EddieFelson69 that is not true at all.... im not sure what auctions you went to...

  • lol damn bro like playing russian roulette

  • Yes and no, once you get a feel it doesn't happen that often -but to let folks know there are some stinkers out there

LOL thanks for checking it out!
