I didn't know that WXGT, 92-X, was a sister station to the "late" great Z-93 (WGTZ) in Dayton! Now WGTZ is a variety hits station a la Jack FM ("Fly 92.9"). I miss the old Z-93 in Dayton, bring it back!!!
BTW, I would address the same plea for WXGT-FM, but I am not from Columbus. :-(
The "GT" in the WXGT and WGTZ call letters stands for Great Trails Broadcasting. If you notice, the 92X and Z93 logos were also the same (they even used the same billboards). 92X was a great Top-40 station, similar to Z93 in format and music played. By the time of this commercial, however, WXGT had abandoned Top-40 in favor of "Rock-40" as they couldn't compete with? WNCI's daily cash giveaways. Loved both 92X and Z93!
