Vitali Would have been a Champion, in ANY Era!!!!! Never Knocked down as a Pro, Highest KO% of all Heavyweight Champs!!! Future Hall of Famer!!!! Great Fighter....
@MrSrScott Vitali is good and always brings a good fight, but he's far from legendary. He's really a big fish in a super small pond. The only credible guys he's fought are Lewis, Byrd, Peter, and Arreola, and he's lost to 2 of them. Who's he fought lately? Guys that are former cruiserweight champs, are you kidding me, what chance have they stood being 40+ lbs lighter and not having sufficient power to KO him? Shannon Briggs, Kevin Johnson, Solis, what business do they even have att the top?
@swimmerinstinct wts are you talking about? He never went down in his career and he lost his 2 fight coz of injury...Vitaly is total dominator a REAL LEGEND!
@Saturas50 doesnt change the fact that he lacked enough top competition. David Tua has also never been down until very recently, and to be a legend you gotta beat legends.
@swimmerinstinct david tua is a dwarf with hard punsh but bad stamina and tua even lost fights not coz of injuries. And btw he was knocked out by a noob named Monte Barette :D
@Saturas50 knocked DOWN, not out, and yes david tua's career dissappeared into small circuits since he drew with rahman, he even tried to take wladimir klitchko to court for refusing to fight him what a dork, boxing and its bs
@MrSrScott His brother wladimir, on the other hand, is arguably less durable and doesnt have vitali's killer instinct, but he's the one who unified 3 of the 4 title belts and he's the one who took out multiple champions. It truly is a let down because they are both good and are the best at the present HW division, which unfortunately is not even a shell of its former self.
I'm not one to make excuses and I think Vitali is outstanding and very underrated, but that fat, cornrowed bum Kirk Johnson, that's who Lennox Lewis thought he was fighting until two weeks before he fought Vitali, in my opinion the fifth best heavyweight of all time. No wonder Lewis was so underprepared. I would've loved a rematch and given Lewis rematch record and how well he prepares for good opponents, I'd bet my life on Lewis winning.
@bigmoney749 agreed. I dont care what anyone says, but lewis was his toughest fight to date and he's dropped more rounds against him in 6 rounds than he does in his 12 round fights.
First class effort, well done. Every time I see that scene with lewis hanging on in the fifth rd and punching Vitali to the the left side twelve times without a warning from the ref I am reminded of all the criticism given against Wladmir for holding. Vitali has still much to give and I for one cant wait. Nobody out there at present to touch him.
Amazing video, thank you very much for doing this!!
