Heyy brothers Lithuanians and Estonians! I was thinking that i could go this or next summer to visit your land.. is there any special traditions that i really should see? :)
@Dankku94 you should remember that most of your beloved russian brothers are still living in our land. :) better to be free without a job then live with son of the bi*ches like you, dear. :)
Next step for Baltic states need to be- make one BALTIC UNION- BALTICA- only then Baltic states could be noticeable. this could be the best variant against other union intruding (economical or worse)- only variant for real freedom
@MartaEzis Tas labi, bet zhel ka mes iegajam no vienas shadas savienibas cita, shoreiz tas bija bripratigi un "apzinati". Tagad tas ir tikai laika jautajums lidz bus pazudusas visas robezas un nacionalas identitates, mes busim visi Europiesi, viena liela peleka savieniba. :(
I NEED TO SAY: LITHUANIA LATVIA ESTONIA SHOULD MAKE A UNION, AND THEY WOULD BE POWERFULL POWER TO PROTECT THEIRSELVES, BECAUSE 7 500 000 people is much more scarry than 3,5 + 2.5 + 1.5million :)
Kur tagad palika visu cilveku vienotiba? tieshi Baltijas valstu vienotiba? zeel bet tagad citas vertibas ir svarigakas un bralu tautas tiek aizmirstas...
They don't teach nearly enough about this in American high schools. I really wish they taught us more; the Baltic Way and other such protests are so powerful.
Liettuva was a source of inspiration for the baltic nations during the russian rule. (80% own people). My image is that the Lithuanian streets are "Lithuanian".
Aniwei, it was a veri bjuutiful happening in the history of hjuuman kind, this baltijas cetjus.
Whether or not the Baltic Way sped up the independence of these three states from the Soviet Union, it is one of the rawest examples of humanity there is. When this many people unite for the same cause, anything can happen. It's too bad that the present state of the world is filled with greed and complacency. Congratulations to you all!
What actually started it all,was an idiot who somehow got into Kremlin. That is all.One idiot is enough to ruin the work of generations of great people.
idk what;s this all about but i understand u were saying the soviet union was great..( am i right?) well if so then you have no idea how hard times those were - i remember my parents and grandparents telling me of how Latvia use to be before it was under soviet order;s control - it was practically a country sized prison with overrated rules and laws ( if u even tried to show any patriotism for ur country during those times the punishment would be fierce( and remember that SU killed many baltians
@sobeboyzz by "work" of generations you mean Lenin, Stalin, KGB, tens of millions of murdered innocent people in every single soviet state?? Years of propaganda, tyranny and inprisonment?
My parents lived in this "socialist dream" and for some reason they say they would never change it from what we have now.
actually, if you read about the aftermath and the soviet reactions, you would realise this really did help the cause of the baltic states. It also got attention from the president of the USA and the chancellor of western germany, who both put more pressure on the soviets.
show me the exact source which indicates that gorbachev promised liberating the baltic states.
two people!? there are THREE baltic states, genius. And the protest helped the baltic states ask for more than they ever could have, and put international pressure on the soviet union, which lead to the first elections, which lead to lithuania being able to confidently declare independance (and being the first FSR to do so)
I am not going to argue against someone who has no idea of basic punctuation, overloads his comments with insults and displays all of his youtube "achievements" on his account page.
lmao dont use my ponctuation as an excuse to avoid the fact that my arguments are better than yours. And theyre not insults, theyre merely stating the obvious. and those are not achievments, theyre simply fun little facts that actually gimme a reason to continue doing stuff on YT.
XD your comment was an EPIC FAIL!
How bout trying to actually post counter-arguments? you seem better at that than at inventing excuses to avoid argumenting.
Skaisti. Gražu. :) Biju tur, atceros. Buvau ten, prisimenu. Tai nepakartojama, bet juk ir tai, ką dabar darom, gali būti gražu ir gera, jei to siekiam. Tobulėkim, nebūkim cinikai.
But u now they are using flags with 50 years history in that time

Just to remind you,the baltic states got their independence 3 years after the whole thing.Moscow just ignored your little get-together.

but this was one of the events that really started the whole thing.
everything starts from tiny little things.

so you're implying that ussr was a great work of great people?
either you're very dumb or you don't know anything about communism. and you definitely don't know anyone who has lived in ussr
astroLV 2 years ago 2
1.Yes I am.Only those who do not obey the slave morality that rules the world today can truly be called great.
2.Communism and USSR are two separate things.People like you tend to forget that.

believe me, if you've lived there, you wouldn't think like that

this event didnt actually directly cause independance, but it boosted their chances for independance a big amount
goldenchocolate 2 years ago
You mean more than riots in the rest of eastern Europe?
You are a joke.Dont even bother trying to argue with me.
sobeboyzz 2 years ago
no, YOU are a joke
this is proven by the fact that u dont know how to read (what I was wrote was 2 lines long, yet u still manage to misread...)
I never said more than the riots in eatern europe
u fail -_-'
goldenchocolate 2 years ago
What I meant was that it did not get them closer to independence than any other soviet country at that moment.
But whatever.Have fun thinking youre the smart one.
sobeboyzz 2 years ago

goldenchocolate 2 years ago
Did they give them complete autonomy?
Nope.
Did Gorbachev fulfill his promise of liberating the baltic states immediately(or at all)?
Nuh-uh
Could those two people put enough pressure on the soviet union, which was already controlled by an imbicile, for them to do something substantial?
Not even remotely.
Is Wikipedia edited by people from Eastern Europe?
Yep,it is.
