He did most of his damage around the world before 1985, imagine if fitness levels had been demanded like they are nowadays. Surely he would have been the first bowler to go past the 400wickets mark.....After all, he went on to play till 1992(i think) for England!

Around 2005 I thought Flintoff was better (I was too young to see Beef in his prime), but the more I see of footage like this it's clear Botham is the greatest all rounder England ever produced

Personally, I believe Ian Botham's finest work were those meat adverts he did with Alan Lamb.

Great Post -- Keep up the good work , Ian botham is one of my favourites players alongside Viv Richards, Imran khan, I particular like beefy batting although he was great swing bowler. The hook shot of Deniss Lille is million to one shot in cricket at (2:18) it not easy to pull or hook when Lillee charges in
