I have pictures of his first pedal board where he has 2 Maestro Echoplex and one Univox EC that he used for the famous eruption divebomb as well as 10 millisecond delay on some songs. I also have pictures of his recent live rig done by Dave Friedman and in this case the delay is in his rack unit. So I'll have to disagree with you.

yea man ive been playing ed's stuff for about 15 years. i play the original 5150 and a 6505 head. i use to play on a JCM combo till i learned how to acheive true eddie tone and had the money to do it. if anyone on here wants to acheive true eddie tone, let me know. i can tell you exactly what you need. its very simple and you DONT need 20K to do it. trust me. ive researched it for years and finally got it down 15 years later. as for that line 6... they can have it. their tone models are amateur.

Don't want to dash it for you but I think you may be mistaken. I've been watching this and even though the quality is v.low I am not convinced by the neck joint. I think it has a 22 fret neck and it seems to come right to the pickup routing. Also, can't see the large-ring strap buttons or the plec tape. So, whilst this is the best frankenstrat paint job I've seen on youtube yet I am not convinced it is a true Fender custom shop version (and I know how sad that makes me!!!!)
Ed saw it ! and gave me a some tone tips during the soundcheck in glendale az on 11/23/07 he smiled when we disscussed tone he talks very softly if you ever have met him .(he still is the king of the six strings and the 10 fingers)

Actually he used 2 analog delays on the first album. Eruption has slapback all over it.
