I think Nels is wearing a Cat Power shirt. I was talking to him after a Wilco sho one time and he told me O'rourke was once considering putting this on vynil. I told him to get right on that. bahaha!

Actually he's not. If you ever meet and talk with him (which is easy to do - just hang around after a Wilco concert and he WILL talk with you as he does with EVERYBODY who wants to) or watch any interviews with him he's as non-egotistical an electric guitarist as I've ever known.

His musical tastes are rather non-mainstream, but he doesn't seem to be in the business he's in for himself, rather for MUSIC.

I encourage you to meet him and then form an opinion.

Fantastic! I was at the show that afternoon...didn't have any idea i would ever be able to hear any of it again...(there's a great recording you can find online, goes about 46') if possible could we see a little more from the 34' point on? The beginning and the end were really incredible.
